Food is a biodegradable product that generates business hence generates wealth for all. Food waste is not a wastage at all. It’s wealth-recycling. When people spend more on food, the hawkers, restaurants, cafes, food manufacturers , farmers are making money. They can invest in better technology and equipments. More jobs are also created. Money generated from biodegradable products must not be viewed as a waste. During recessions when everyone cut back their spending, it affects the profits of all businesses. That will real big chain-reaction issue.

You need to take into account the other problems of food wastage: Climate Change. Decomposition of food will cause the release of methane, which is a lot more stronger as a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide, resulting in the effects of global warming becoming worse

@@alvinmah6148 Well yes, non-biodegradable waste is a big concern, but climate change is equally as troubling. The weather becoming more unpredictable, sea levels rise, global warming, you can't just ignore all of these events that will turn into a crisis in the near future.
