Jake! You are the master! My goodness. What a thrill to listen to you. Your love for your instrument is evident, too. I'm a 62 yr old grandma just learning to play the uke. I love it. I'm excited and I'll get there, in my dreams. Thanks for sharing your gift. Helen Witherspoon

Everyone gets told at least a hundred times a week to go out and do this and do that because you only get one life so you have to make it memorable and amazing and imperfect. But the pressure and reality of that is not everyone is as free as most people feel you or they should be. People like Jake bring me back to the now and the simple joys of having simple passions and living and breathing the things you love to do most, there's no pressure in having and being the best of everything, but if one thing's the best to you then that's all you need :) he's amazing at what he does and i'm glad i came across this today, it was much a needed lift :)

43-year-old here, just learnt the uke for the last 2 weeks. In order to record a song I wrote (my guit is too "full" a sound to create that light shuffle feel). Inspired by your mastery and soulfulness of your uke playing, almost like you're dancing and love-making with that masterpiece of a machine (a Kamaka at that!). Someday, who knows, I may go beyond just strumming chords for the last two weeks of a new beauty of an instrument.

@sakatis (learn to spell when trying to ask a serious question) basically, it's very simple, guitars, having longer and thicker strings produce a much more deep pitch. If the guitar is the alto sax, the ukulele is the soprano sax, and the bass is the baritone sax.
