I also have experience with these drugs and I agree it is very believable. It doesn’t make him not responsible for his actions. I’ve been DEEP in trips. If you’re gonna do this drug then at very least be responsible about it. Me and my friends went through a horror movie tripping(way to much happened to give the full story) and yet somehow in the back of my mind I still realized that most of what I was seeing couldn’t be real. It just wasn’t possible. You know what crazy i was right. I’ve also never blacked out on any psychedelic and I’d say me and my friends have done considerable amounts in one sitting. I guess for reference the most mushrooms I’ve eaten in one sitting split between three people was an ounce. I’ve personally taken two tabs of cidney and didn’t black out. My best friend has taken three and didn’t black out. Basically my point is this kid was 1 completely irresponsible with his actions of taking the drugs and 2 overdosed himself with far too many mushrooms. I think he’s responsible. I really don’t see a reason why even if he was blacked out he wouldn’t be responsible. The kid is obviously violent. Even if he’s really good at hiding it. I’m just letting everyone know. I’ve done these exact drugs he’s speaking on and I’m not advocating for them. But I’ve never seen someone who wasn’t violent before the mushrooms just randomly becoming violent but I have seen someone who was already a violent person become much worst while on mushrooms.

He is genuine, this is exactly what he experienced. I believe that 100%. I have limited experience with mushrooms, a friend and me had a bad experience with it about 40 years ago when I was young. Everything was fine we were feeling good, laughing and talking. The mood changed after I put the wrong music on I believe. Suddenly it all went south. I remember vividly my friends face became a devils- or a Japanese mask, pulsating on and of from normal to devil. But I wasn't scared of him. He fell flat on his face twice which did scare the hell outof me. The room we were in looked absurdly small, gloomy, badly lit, and it was as if the outside world wasn't there anymore. We felt scared and we felt we lost touch with reality(which was true in a way). Luckily we managed to get to sleep, holding hands to feel safe. The next morning we felt fine again. But it was a scary night. Bottom line: I feel sorry for the victims of course, but also for this young man. We can say "yeah he shouldn't have taken these drugs". But people do, especally young people and most of the times it turns out ok.

He has said several times that he's not religious, but he knows of Jesus, he knows of the devil, and he said that he went into his room and was "meditating". He said he began praying to these supposed "lights"! THAT is THE WORST things you can do when your brain is under the influence of drugs, or when you are not in control of your thoughts, and when your mind is just not right. you don't know who or what you are praying to! You are leaving your mind open for the devil to enter. As the Bible says; "The DEVIL will transform himself into the angel of LIGHT and deceive many"! Opening your mind to unknown "entities" when it's vulnerable and fragile, is like leaving your home unlocked and walking away. Good, honest, upright, moral people are NOT going to walk in! Only bad, dishonest, people with ill intent are going to come in. They'll not only take what they want and do what they please, but they'll also take over your home! Satan IS crafty!

This one hits close to home, my brother had 2 psychoses after taking drugs, it was the scariest experience I’ve had. Luckily he didn’t see us as devils but he viewed his friends as devils and our cat. Also, he saw dark energies everywhere and was constantly turning on/off the lights, closing/opening doors, running away bare feet outside and thinking that the birds and water were talking to him. I had a neighbor who was in his mid 30s and was a diagnosed as psychotic (I can't remember the full correct term?), but he constantly heard voices and saw "demons & angels." The psychosis came about after taking shrooms one time when he was 18. He described it as he was just a normal kid, took shrooms one night, had an awful trip and never came down from it. His life was daily hell. I felt so awful for him. He would tell me he really didn't want to hurt but the voices keep telling him too, but he would assure me he really really didn't want to. It scared me a lot. He was a nice guy, he meant well, but he was very plagued, and potentially dangerous. I ended up moving so I could get away from him because he was too fixated on me. He said I had an army of angels surrounding me and they wouldn't allow him to hurt me even though the demons constantly taunted him and would try to persuade him to do so. He would try to follow me everywhere. That it was because he felt safe just being near me and ask if I would just let him hang out and be near me and we wouldn't even have to talk. Really scary that that could happen to someone after trying drugs just once, forever after living the worst trip and never coming out of it. I feel bad that I moved to get away from him but I felt like I really needed to for my safety. I think about him now and then and remember to pray for him. I hope somehow he is healed. It would so awful living like that and unable to escape your own self.

His story and how he attacked them makes sense. Stabbed in the head and eyes, relating to his perception of what he was hallucinating. I have experienced hallucinations so intense that I was “in” another place entirely, and I could not distinguish reality to what I was seeing, and acted accordingly, interacting with what I was seeing as if it was actually there. Luckily, my trips have always been positive and I know how to keep myself from spiraling into what is considered a “bad trip” by many, but having the experiences and understanding first-hand that it is 100% possible to see things that don’t exist and completely unable to distinguish what is reality, I feel a lot of empathy for this kid, especially because his actions är irreparable and traumatic to everyone involved.

Imagine being in a bad space and trying to party with friends on a drug that is statistically very safe, then 'waking up' to find out you killed someone. Augh, what a nightmare! My heart breaks for the family and friends and everyone involved. How do you even recover from this. Cautionary tale against doing even gentle drugs without a comfortable mental space and some supervision. Friends don't let friends do drugs alone. Even tho I logically know that statistically, this particular drug doesn't typically yield violence, I'm still very scared of trying anything like it. I'd absolutely need a babysitter, I'm sure. Sadly all drugs do have the potential to end up bad, but we can't (or shouldn't) make them illegal over a few bad cases. If we did, then perhaps alcohol and all medicine should be banned because there are bad reactions to many medicines that people take as well. The fact is, there is no 1 drug that works perfect on everyone (medicine included). What may help and make even up to 99% of people feel great and back to normal (medicine), there's always a small percentage of people who have an adverse reaction which may make them worse or have an episode even. There's countless cases where people on anti-depressants stop and then have extreme violent tendencies. But we don't just ban the hwole medicine because a few people had an adverse reaction, typically. We instead play it safe and try to make sure it's okay to use for that individual because everyone is different. These days, too many people expect a 100% no issues medicine/drug when that is not the case. Even something as simple as tylenol or advil, some are allergic or cannot ingest it. Alcohol, people can literally become violent, black out, and forget the entire night that happened before as if it never happened, and it's well known alcohol brings out violent tendencies in many people, but again, not everyone. The moral of the story here is everyone is different and it's important to be careful on dosage until you've established the effects it has on you.

Psilocybin is a helluva drug. I say this as a guy who spent entire summers at Chan’s age doing massive amounts, daily. Those mushrooms were everywhere in my area, literally we could get buckets of them. For me it helped to shake loose some regional, religious and generational conditioning and be somewhat sincere in pursuing goals as an individual. Honestly I think it made me a better person, idk. HOWEVER….For some people, it can cause you to become totally unmoored from reality. It’s a powerful thing and shouldn’t be taken lightly. For those that think of psilocybin as a panacea, certain mushroom cults in South America saw human sacrifice as the central practice of their civilizations.

Mushrooms & LSD cause God complex by ego death feeling one with the universe it can also cause delusions where the user feels entities are speaking to him telling him he is the almighty. 2 Timothy 4:3 There are numerous examples I can give about people who experienced "ego-death" and "enlightenment" & went insane to the left hand. Connor Murphy, Aliester Crowley, many murderers of "explore with us" youtube channel. Don’t do psychedelics when you have mental struggles or conditions. They will fuck you up in the head. Psychedelics are a tool very similarly to a hammer. Man this is really sad. Those arguing that shrooms wouldn’t do something like this- he had no “trip sitter” and he may have taken a strain of shrooms that gives you bad thoughts. It’s hard to distinguish real from hallucinations when you have no one to ground you. I’m not sure if he was also drinking b/c the description says intoxicated but if he was drinking too it would have made it even worse. If you’re going to do drugs, do them with people who can help ground you. Don’t mix drugs and alcohol! Unless it’s weed, that’s just a great time. It's kind of hilarious how after taking LSD many times I can completely understand exactly what is being described, but the narrator 'Just Interrogations' then says that Thomas is saying 'nonsense'. I can give an example of something that is absolutely clear to me. Thomas talks about saying 'random stuff' or 'what he thought they wanted to hear', and what he actually means by this is that at that moment in time, depending on what he said, the phenomenal experience would transform. It's almost a type of synesthesia. I can explain this by example: say he said the word 'happy', then immediately upon saying the word, it may occur that the entire environment becomes more friendly - he would literally see the environment become whiter, maybe edges become softer, maybe the faces of the officers would become less demon-like, etc. So he would just be iterating through saying whatever seems to be working - and this leads to generating nonsensical speech like 'Laura is my love, I love Laura', etc. Thomas clearly doesn't have the language to encode some of the experiences he had. In particular, the primary cause of his 'God like state' occurs when one hasn't yet seen through naive realism. It's disturbing when in such a state your thoughts seem to transform reality in a totally coherent manner (i.e. your attitude and thoughts seem to actually alter the objects around you - changing their size or position or shape, etc) - unless you can somehow convince yourself that this is only a perceptual alteration, not an alteration to the ontologically objective reality external to your brains reconstruction - then you will form what is actually a fair assumption in the circumstance: that you are indeed the creator of everything around you.

Not finding that, I then thought my mom poisoned me with the ice water she gave me, and I had to CONSTANTLY reject these horrible thoughts and just pray that I'll be sober in the morning. @@Jenny-uv4dlyou psyche people are crazier than your patients. Psychiatrists have the highest suicide rate of any profession but Psychologists, who dont pump people full of poisonous substances that exacerbate insstead of provide benefit (i.e. the intervention #), actually have the lowest suicide rate. Now nurse what does that tell you? Ill remind you also it wasnt that long ago ya'all were performing lobotomies and dunking patients in icy baths to name a few.
