The remarkable thing here is Brendan demonstrating to the young lady different ways in which she could develop her composition. He plays different variations on her theme, in different styles. You can see her drinking it all in. One would hope that she goes home and her composition continues to grow. Excellent. She probably learned more from his session than from months of piano lessons. What humility and respect Brendan gives this young lady. He knows he can play her composition better but gives her the opportunity to play it through in public. Then all he does is talk to her about it and how she composed it for her exam and gives her the accolade she deserves. Truly remarkable.
