I was nearly killed riding a moped going 25mph and a car pulled in front of me & I winded up T boning a SUV & kinda head on'ish . I pooped her & I flew 37 feet maybe 40 feet in the air. I felt myself die, I was flying in the air dead as a door knob . By the grace of God My impact to the ground stunned/jolted my heart back to life. I'm alive becuz how hard I hit the ground...I was dead before I hit the ground . It felt peaceful, I wasn't even aware of time passing, it was darkness . Traumatized. Very sorry to hear this kid was killed in a bike like fashion similar where I dang near lost my life too .. I wish the mother peace.

What you described experiencing is the same exact sensation people say they experience when they jump out of aircraft or hit a major jump downhill skiing something like that. What you experienced is not that serious. Considering all the people who end up with a open head injury loss of brain no heart rhythm for 20 minutes ending up in the critical care unit hooked up to life support followed by a coma. Losing their physical freedom by becoming partially or completely paralyzed okay. In other words what you have experienced can easily result in a full recovery. The reason this is important is because when you are theatrical it take's the focus off of those who have been clinically pronounced dead making it back to their body.

To have a better understanding of a near-death experience versus a clinical pronounced dead and severe injuries that result in a person losing their physical freedom by becoming partially or completely paralyzed you need to spend some time in the VA critical care unit. Thinking you experience death. Well if you experience death then explain the most highly evolved aspects of masculinity and femininity life death soul spirit mother Earth nature and wildlife. And why those proclaiming power personified over all such has let global pollution diminish the quality of life for all worldwide. Because what I see in your message is you are looking for remorse in sympathy to make yourself feel less afraid and scared of reality which is not helping you or anyone else in the past present or future. Happy new year the truth shall set your fee for all eternity.

His mother's voice breaks my heart. We obviously need to do things differently. Who knows, maybe just the right words from the right adult could have changed this young man's perspective and this never would have happened. This might sound a bit crazy, but perhaps it is relevant so bare with me. I saw a documentary about prison. There is a big difference between what men do in prison and what women do. Men form gangs, while women form families. The women will group themselves with an older woman who would be like a grandma, a few others that would be mom and aunts and the rest are daughters and sisters. They help each other, do each other's hair, talk, console each other and act like a family. In the documentary one of the girls was being released and she started crying, not tears of joy, but...sadness. They asked her why, and she said that she had never had a family before. The closest thing she had ever had to a family was the one she had in prison and she didn't know how she was going to get by in the world without them. Now I would ask, if these ladies can do such a thing in prison, why can't we form these same kinds of bonds in our community? I'm convinced everyone needs a family, a big family with elders, aunts, uncles, moms, dads and siblings. I think if more people had the support of family, this tragedy and many others could be avoided. In short my thought is, if you have kids but you do not have the support of family members to help, maybe figure out how to create one. If women in prisons can do it then why can't we? That young man just needed more voices of reason. Perhaps there just needed to be a few more adults to take him under they're wing to guide him into making better decisions.

Well, I do not know how to feel about this. He was already not doing well in school, would give his grandma and mother trouble, his father was in prison, so no one to show him how to be a responsible person, he comes from an over crowed house hold and his step father appears ___________ ?? Is he happier where he is now ?? Does society have one less troubled person to deal with ???

Running away from home is NEVER idea. If you have problems at home talk to a school counselor, get help. It never ends well. Trafficking, gang involvement, abuse, drug use; just to name a few negative outcome. He was lost. Wish someone cared enough to rescue him. Too late now, can only hope others will think twice before making those decisions.

Wow im disgusted at most of the comments ive seen...if you take time out your day to watch the news or even youtube it then dont bitch about what they broadcast...if you want better news go make your own channel and see how many people think what your covering is stupid! I dont think the parents should be taunted or harassed...they lost a kid and not long ago her mother/grandmother...isnt that enough pain and suffering? I think anyone with a brain can clearly see that the issue here is not haven proper biking paths and the roads especially in the Norfolk area can be very hellacious and even tricky! If anyone should be blamed its the city ...im not even gonna blame the driver because they could have been following the law and sometimes freak accidents happen...thats why we need better roads proper signs and more bike paths! Im so sorry to the family ....even though he was a run away he was a teenager and he still had a chance to do great things...i hope he does get to be reunited with his grandmother ❤ god bless!

The first problem is parents guardians caretakers and others who have such a responsibility. Keep kids and young children overfed undernourished during their peak grown years of physical mental social emotional development that lack of care alone greatly increases the chances of them resorting to violence using fast food drugs alcohol and booze as a coping method. Equally as true when they go to jail here in Hampton Roads they have all kinds of luxury items available practically 24 seven in addition to the three meals that are provided at the same time many cellblocks allow inmates take more than one shower per day and if they go to prison in the state of Virginia they have even more freedom and luxury items available making jail seem like a paid vacation that may result in a prison sentence that is similar to a retirement like community development. That type of incarceration is not discouraging those from becoming criminals and deftly not going to prevent them from becoming a repeat offender.
