The fact that these are real gangsters MJ looked for is amazing. And that he took the time to organize them and teach them to dance is wild.👏
@BrenJen86 Жыл бұрын
The gang members did not dance. They were in the background. The real trained dancers performed the choreography at the end including the choreographer, Michael Peters, in the white jacket and dancer/actors Michael DeLorenzo and Stoney Jackson.

In the 80s there were two kinds of music videos. Michael Jackson videos. And videos by everybody else. And I do mean this literally. This is because there was a very small team of people, responsible for thinking up video’s for literally everybody. And they tended to run out of original ideas very fast. Michael Jackson meanwhile had his own team. Just for him. So he got a lot of original ideas.

Great reaction and great giggles from me, re your dance moves, but you are a great sport, and funny! Michael Jackson was 5 years older than me, so he was the best entertainment in the WORLD for so much of my life. I miss him being in the world SO MUCH! Keep those MJ reaction videos coming, there are generations of people who just love him and love his videos, concerts, award show performances, etc!

You really need to do Human nature 1988 Wembley. People also tend to forget just how important this song was for the massive sales of Thriller. With this song MJ now appealed and crossed over to a new rock fanbase. There are literally thousands of metal fans that have a soft spot for MJ cos of his crossover appeal. Oh and yes 3:24 is tooooo iconic.

The mention of there being real gang members is true. To give the scenes an authentic look they hired guys off the streets of LA as the background but the dancers were specifically hired separately. The story goes it took about a week to film all the separate shots. Behind the scenes the real gang members were ragging on the dancers but as the week went by they came to respect just how hard those dancers worked doing it over and over to get all the parts just right.

The world's best musician and dancer Michael Jackson. His style of dancing and singing music never seems childish. He always sang music in deep voice, so his songs are hit and catchy. Moreover he always wrote teachable music. He was the only person in the world who performed dance-music together in front of live audience. May her soul rest in peace™🇧🇩🎵🎧🇧🇩

To wit:🎶...You'd better listen, better do what you're told You haven't even touched your tuna casserole You better chow down or it's gonna get cold So eat it I don't care if you're full Just eat it, eat it, eat it, eat it Open up your mouth, and feed it Have some more yogourt, have some more spam It doesn't matter if it's fresh or canned Just eat it!...🎶

The two "gangs" in this video were 2 actual rival gangs in L.A.; the Crips and the Bloods. The cast featured around 80 genuine gang members, 18 professional dancers and 4 break dancers. The chances for these gang members to break out into violence was a real concern. But it never happened. After all, this was MICHAEL!! They were all well-behaved, and together they made one of the most iconic music videos of all time.

In 1983 Michael Jackson astounded the audience during Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever to commemorate Motown's 25th year with his moonwalk during a performance of Billie Jean. The next day an 84 year old Fred Astaire called Michael Jackson to say “You’re a hell of a mover. Man, you really put them on their asses last night.” Live performances are even more impressive since they don't benefit from editing.
