I will say I think Cyborg and Beastboy has something about them that's opposites. Cyborg is like the oldest brother of the group, he's a little bit older than the rest, he's a little more mature, is a little bit more relaxed, and can ask the other to chill down. A more robust presence. Who kind of just stands back and often allow Robin to take the lead while he is more calm in the background. Meanwhile, Beastboy is the youngest brother of the entire group, a little bit younger than everyone else, and therefore always feels like he has to prove himself to the others so he overcompensates to get that attention in the mix, he's afraid he's not measuring up and thus is the one who has to grow the most. And then their relationship as older brother and little brother is ADORABLE! With Cyborg really looks after Beastboy and is a strong support, while Beastboy just adores Cyborg and tries to be as cool as him and get his attention. It's so cute.

It is interesting how Static Shock teased this show as part of the DCAU, but then the show became its own continuity instead.

It makes more sense that way, since Robin in Teen Titans is Dick Grayson and you'd have some timeline oddities if it was DCAU canon. But for what it's worth, the voice actors of the main 5 Titans did cameo in Unlimited as the voices of the original Royal Flush gang, and Speedy in that series is just a buffer version of his design in this show, so there's some nods here and there

I think everyone took the Static comment the wrong way. Batman said that a Teen Titans team existed, but he never said it was a variant on the 80's lineup that is seen here. If anything it's a variant on the Johns lineup with a few changes to account for other characters in the Timmverse. That would give us the following roster Beast Boy was confirmed, and I would presume Cyborg, Raven and Starfire are also there as mentors. Nightwing's off doing a solo career, only returning to either Titans or League if he has to. The main team would be Tim, Cassie, Natasha, Static and Gear.

I hadn't even thought of the possiblity of the team setup being different if it were part of the DCAU. I only know that Batman promised Static that he would "meet them... someday." Which of course didn't happen.

If the Teen Titans series were canon to Earth-508...we've got a lot of questions to ask concerning the Fab 5 who aside from Robin were only cameos (due to disputes over Wonder Woman on all fronts and since Wally was running with the big leagues at the time and in movie considerations it would have been humiliating to demote him back to Teen Titan until after the league show ended...even though he and Donna were supposed to be in Titans from the start since the cartoon is an augmented Wolfman/Perez adaptation) 1. Why does Wally not mention knowing what a Gordanean is during "Starcrossed" 2. Why in "Patriot Act" did Roy never mention a word about having as much beef with Nightwing as he does with Ollie? 3. Although she was only a two-ep silent cameo, just why is Donna Troy active before Diana Prince? Note: I know there is a Pre-Infinite Crisis answer for that (multiverse stew shenanigans as Donna so eloquently puts it), but I'm glad Infinite Crisis fixed that one because having Wonder Girl before Wonder Woman makes no sense unless Wonder Woman was Wonder Girl at the same time Superman was Superboy and later on Donna and Conner took up those monikers something which is often flip-flopped on with Diana's Wonder Girl status. When it's it's own thing...there's actually a production note here. "League? What league? The Titans are our Premiere Team, the League's a bunch of hacks."

What I love about Teen Titans animated series is that the teenagers in show actually act like teenagers unlike alot teen sitcoms you would see on Nickelodeon or Disney Channel where acted like what adults think teenagers should talk and act Teen Titans on other hand they acted like how I was when was a teenager I was a very moody teen growing up and related to Titans alot even as an adult. Its like Glenn Murakami and co. have actually study the psychology of a teenager.

Slade in the show kind of reminds me of Doctor Doom from marvel to be honest. Not a bad approach to adapting the character for a TT series, but definitely made this version of Slade Wilson drastically different.

This show is what made me a major fan of dc and mostly introduced me to these characters, this show is what batman the animated series and justice league series is for everyone else. This show is my childhood and it still holds up as hands down the best dc project made that is very underrated and still has fans pushing for a sixth season me being one of those fans.

I'd love that too, but it's been almost 20 years now and WB have shown that they aren't really interested in doing it. Real shame since the cast is still here to do the voices and some like Tara want it to happen, but I think a lot of the issue is getting the crew back to make it happen, Glen and the others have moved on to other things. Same deal as Spectacular Spider-Man except that show also has rights issues attached

yup, I got teen titans the complete series on Blu-ray and it's safely shelved in my DC Blu-ray collection and truly even 20 years later, the show still holds up excellently in all aspects. I'm so happy to still be able to collect things from my childhood and this was one of them, an absolute peak animated show for both kids and adults to enjoy and to this day nothing teen titans wise has topped it. they was cookin in the early 2000 hands down. so many gems came out around that time and I'm glad to have been their to witness it.

I just started watching the show this summer, and I absolutely love it. The characters, storylines, and animation are all great. I personally like Slade and Red X because of the mystique that surrounds them. One thing that makes this first season so good is Robin and Slade's relationship. Their similarities elevate the tension of their relationship and show that there isn't a clear line between good and evil.
