Just like a lot of other gear I see here on The internet, I and completely content with knowing I may never own or even touch a tx-… but I can still enjoy it through the internet!

guys. If it's not something you can use to make money - it's not for you. For the people that can use this to make money, it's absolutely the right tool, and it's the easiest to carry around tool. If it's out of your price range for simply having fun, buy something else.

Thanks for this, you brought up a lot of good points. Bluebox seems to be the way to go with more features and like half the price…

Excellent review. I’m foolish enough to have one too and you are bang on, one of the most incredible objects I have ever held in my hand, also a kind of unusable pain in the ass. I ‘spose they’re making it abundantly clear that they are first and foremost a design company and design contractor and in that capacity they are second to none. But hoo boy they haven’t put something out that wasn’t either head scratching or profoundly functionally compromised in one way or another for… several years at this point.
@soffter2 жыл бұрын
"head scratching" is the perfect 2-word review of teenage engineering's output But i hope you can still manage to have some fun with it! or at the very least make a lateral swap for something that makes you smile even more !

Good design is not only aesthetics. Its a balance between form, usability and function. This thing is just form.

I really like mine.. but I’m not set to use the EQ and filter as performance tools.. so in that sense the size is ok for me, since the faders and mutes feel great.. But this is NOT a performance mixer. If you set and forget the EQ and Filters then I think you’re all good!
@sonicultura2 жыл бұрын
Hi man! I think with stop, mutes FX 2 etc it’s a performance mixer! I normally don’t EQ on any mixer as performance either the filter on a mixer. I normally filter on the source.
@MichaalHell2 жыл бұрын
@@sonicultura I think the filter are great for when you want to seperate frequencies.. my Nord lead has this issue where my patches gets so lively that they’re all over the place so then using the filter to hone in the frequencies really tidys up the mix.. But regarding the fx, those are very performance freindly

It’s a shame this wasn’t built just slightly larger for better stability, knob and slider utility, and cable generalization, and maybe available in a darker color scheme. Premium mixers in small form factor are super short supply and this could’ve bridged that gap. It’s not cheap, but for something of this complexity I wouldn’t expect it to be. Unfortunate they didn’t leave this one in the oven a little longer.
@soffter2 жыл бұрын
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it's an odd market! like the KMI mixer is also very very cool and fully featured... has odd gel controls? lmao. 1010 Bluebox? dope as heck! ...tiny touchscreen and you need adapter cables? I've got my fingers crossed someone will come around and nail it soon here
@BoxLab242 жыл бұрын
Bluebox is half the price you can record on it and it's got good reverb delay and compressor
@XiXora2 жыл бұрын
There is a perception of smaller = cheaper. I can see why people would freak out at the price. Maybe, if this was made with the bendy OP-Z plastic, it'd be half the price. Who knows. This does look possibly too small to be a delight to use.
@ehtcom Жыл бұрын
Considering it's made in China. I'd guess these are leaving the factory door for less than $10.00 each.

If i had that kindof disposable money i would just get it as a fun fidget toy haha. I agree that the functionality is actually quite abundant and you do get a lot ofor your money. I dont use many devices at the same time so i dont need it.

If price is the most notable thing about a product, then maybe they should design a better product. This isn’t the most expensive piece of music equipment so the idea its part of the conversation can’t be the only reason people bring it up. Features and usability matter. And its true, people don’t know what costs are involved in producing something but why should they? If that’s also part of the conversation then again, the product doesn’t stand strongly enough on its own. Does it have superior quality? So far based on specs, it seems that’s not the case. That alone leaves the door wide open to discuss, what else? Price.
