Shredder and Krang were more of a threat in these games than in the cartoon…

Depends on the season. They definitely went through serious villain decay. Not as bad as Bebop and Rocksteady though. Season 0 they were throwing cars at them and opening up with full automatic fire and by season 3 were basically Beavis and Butthead.

@@deplorabledegenerate2630 the one thing that bugged me about shredder in season 2 to 6 is how much of a wimp he was. half the time he wouldn't fight his own battles and would either run away like a coward (vs mikey wearing knight armor) or be defeated in a very silly manner (getting pizza'd in the face). back when I was a kid, I was always confused on why shredder was always the final boss in the video games over krang when he posed less like a fighter and was more like a commander who's all talk and no action. not to mention the technodrome belonged to krang.

@@Dekomata in fairness, his first encounter he is visibly afraid of them and backs away seeing them fight some robots. But that is all four together and the second Bebop and Rocksteady show up he grows his nerve back.

@@Dekomata I understand where you coming from 100% but the 1980s TMNT Show was like many other cartoons around that era suited for children. Made to be funny and goofy and make the villains Gaggy. With slight seriousness. That’s the fun aspect of it. But the OG comic was much more serious, and just about every other version OF tmnt media Shredder is a lot more Intimidating. If you a Street Fighter fan, think of how M Bison is much more intimidating than he is in that cheesy 90’s cartoon.

Lol I actually got some turtle soup and no one would eat it. People were actually mad at me for buying it. I had to have some after hearing shredder talk about it so much.

My favorite arcade game of all time. I cannot even begin to count how many weekends I spent in the arcade playing this game. I still have an old white 360 with this game on it which I still play mainly for this game. TMNT is a classic and should get re-released for current gen systems.

@@George-zk4nv There is a new package for certain consoles called the "Cowabunga Collection". It has 13 TMNT games spanning from 1989 to 1994. It includes all NES, Sega, Gameboy, SNES, and arcade games from that time span.

It's actually the retromutagen ray generator from the first season. And "clones" are supposed to be holograms from his fight with Splinter.

I got so good at this game I could beat it with Raph and not take one hit. Dudes used to laugh at me when I picked him in the arcade. Then they were shocked after they spent 20 bucks to finish the game and I did not take one hit,

@@RangoTheMercenary Lmao its easy when you have no friends or girl friend. I spent a lot of time reading and playing video games. Play a game long enough you just reach a point where you know all the enemy patterns and when and where to attack them. The funny thing is Ralph has the shortest reaching weapon. In the arcade version they made him faster than the other characters. Once you know all the characters attack patterns that speed makes him the best turtle imo.

I can't claim to take NO hits, but for me it is basically muscle memory playing that game, so I'll take few hits. Like you, I am a Raph player and have beaten the game solo with Raph on one coin multiple times. but that was in the 90s.

Gotta love Splinter's sacrifice for the turtles. He selflessly surrendered his last chance at reverting back to his human self to save them from the Mutagen.
