One thing I forgot to do while fighting the human Stockman boss at 9:10 is to try and take out as many Mousers as possible, that way I would maximize points and get closer to earning another extra life later on in the game.

This game was light years ahead of the first but the first was grittier. Had this dark style to the art and music that was out there with it. They both stand out but this one took the art ahead and music in a similar tone.

It wasn't free...they had a licensing agreement and spent millions in marketing over the years with TMNT. in fact, many people who bought the game got a pizza hut coupon for a free pizza.

Not as fun as I remember it being. Remember being like 6-7 years old and being completely obsessed with this game. At my friends house we shared at playing this game and I could never get my need to play this game satiated. Coming back to look at this, I find my self bored and at the same time enjoying the childhood memories. That old feeling where I was blizzfull and unaware and just enjoying the moment, ah, childhood, the nostalgia.

I'd have loved to have seen an updated version of this, keeping the gameplay refinements and extra levels, but bring the graphics back up to 16bit/arcade standard and have a four-player mode. I'm glad that later games in the Nintendo franchise had the special attacks sap your health when you used them, because it SERIOUSLY reduces the difficulty when you spam them, lol.

This is ANOTHER game (the other one being Spider-Man Return of the Sinister Six) that the only person I saw beating is my Mom. Haha. It's so strange to think that when she played this I was 2 or 3 and back then she was perhaps the only female video game player in our community (my dad worked for a computer company in Saudi Arabia back then, we're from Bangladesh). Just... Wow. Haha. Cowabunga you guys!

Personally, young me was disappointed that the game didn't have the same moveset as the arcade game, or especially that a lot of moves were taken out. Still, as far as I know this is the most advanced beat-em-up on the NES. To do even a fraction of what you get from the arcade game with such limited resources is quite an achievement.

Hated those tigers. I would just wait in the corner and time my jump kick when they charged. They would "glitch" when you hit them so you could get off like two kicks if you were quick.

dani205050 Not bad, But too much moving. You can simply stand still, and do your double attack (a+b) underneath and never get hit or have to move. You just time it as soon as you see the balls of light from the ranged attack.
