Jack you gotta understand. This song changed music production forever. After this the triple beat took over R&B. Then the triple syncopated snare took over Hiphop. Think about trap music most of it uses rolling high hat and triple high hat. So many people copied the sound Timbo had to change up the sound on "We need a resolution". When you listen to Brian McNight, "1, 2,3" it has the triple syncopated snare. Also the Roots, "You got me" has that triple beat. Loads of groups used it, but those ones did it the best.

@@JackReacts904 Before Aaliyah hired Timbaland and Missy Elliott for this album, they were obscure/basically unknown (Missy had worked on one song by an R&B artist or group before this, but that was it). Timbaland basically owes his career to her. After the album (also called One In A Million) came out and blew up, EVERYONE was hitting up Timbaland to produce for them and Missy to write for them. But even Timbaland has said this: no other artist’s/rapper’s/singer’s voice was as perfect a fit for his beats like Aaliyah’s was.

Aaliyah is a favorite. I love her range. When performing live, she typically sang pretty deep, mostly chest, but she has a beautiful head voice as well. Timbaland on the beat, and Missy with the lyrics and arrangement. They were a killer combo. Aaliyah was an amazing dancer too. Super smooth, watching her live performances were a treat. And Fatima, her choreographer was amazing. Fun fact before I shut up - Aaliyah would help Destiny's Child with choreography for their videos. Here are some songs: Hot Like Fire, 4-Page Letter, Are You That Somebody, Rock the Boat (Her last video), We Need A Resolution...basically everything, lol.

Her style and swagg was so dope,so beyond the early 90's and is still being replicated today in 2020 . She was so much my idol that i named my daughter after her.. She was such an inspiration for us young girls in the 90's to look up to. Check out.. 4 page letter.. Rock the Boat.. Are you that somebody.. Try again.. More than a woman.. The 1 I gave my heart to.. If your girl only knew... We need a resolution... Hot Like Fire 🔥🔥🔥 Those are just some of her many hit's we fell in love with.

I remember when my Aunt last year ask for Aaliyah’s One in a Million album for Christmas. I remember after buying it, I ask myself,”Hmm I wonder why ppl love Aaliyah so much?” So I decided to listen one of her songs and I choosed One in a Million on my ITunes. Instantly I became hooked and she became one of Top 5 favorite singers alongside Usher, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce and Michael Jackson. Her voice is just so smoothe, effortless, and soothing. My only regret was not listening to her earlier in my life.

"4 page letter" is also a great song off this same album. Should be a video for it too. The album before these song were also great too, but they were produced by R. Kelly and come with controversy. Timbaland and Missy Elliot have often said they owe their careers to her. Aaliyah was one of the first artist that fully gave them a chance. She took a chance by letting Timbaland produce and Missy write her 2nd album since they weren't really known yet. The style that the 3 of them created is still being referenced in many r&b songs to this day. Apparently after she started working with Missy and Timbaland that's when alot of other artists started asking them to work on their projects too. You should react to her songs If Your Girl Only Knew, The One I Gave My Heart To, Back In One Piece ft DMX, Hot Like Fire, Miss You, I Care For You, and More Than A Woman. Drake and Chris Brown have both said that they were inspired by her and have released songs using some of her unreleased material with her family's approval. You should react to Don't Think They Know by Chris Brown ft Aaliyah and Enough Said by Aaliyah ft Drake.
