If someone ever attempts to abduct you fight like hell on the spot, don't go willingly or quitly. If they pull a gun or a knife on you it is better to make a scene and get shot or stabbed in public within earshot or visual of someone else than to cooperate and let them drive off to an isolated spot and have their way with you. Doing that just helps them get away with your murder.

I’m so sorry. Just watching this made me cry and think about my two daughters who are 19 and 14 I was hoping they would tell us where they found her I mean was it close was it far away? I know after seven years what could’ve happened but I had a friend that went missing in Dallas, Texas and she was never found and she went missing in 2013 and we don’t know where she is. We don’t know who took her we don’t know anything she was grown she had children and she just told her kids that she would be right back and they were of age to be left at the house by their self for a few minutes while she ran to the store or something, and when she never returned the next morning. Her son called her brother his uncle, and we still don’t know what happened to her. Her car was never found, she was never found, and a few years later it happened again to another girl that we grew up with, but they found her slaughtered and in an abandoned house in South Dallas she came up missing from North Dallas and then a few months later it happened again to another girl we didn’t know but she lived in our area and they found her also in an abandoned house, and it just makes you wonder… The thing is the girls that were found inside of the abandoned houses they still never found who did it and it’s gut, wrenching to even think about when that girl that went viral everywhere for playing like she was abducted, and then she popped up… Carly or whatever her name was it really touched my soul for the time that she was considered missing because that actually happened to so many people that I know in Dallas, Texas and I didn’t think it was funny when people were laughing about it but when she was found it made me so mad because situations like this really do happen and that’s not funny to fake a kidnappingI took it was missing when she came out and said that she faked her abduction I was so mad because there are people that are really hurt out here praying for their loved ones to just be found

Not gonna lie. This is probably one of the best police departments I’ve seen so far in the US. They were immediately on it. I truly appreciate that. Normally us POC don’t get that immediate empathic response 🙏🏾 I’m so grateful to those who actually do their job the correct way and care about the victims as people and not color. They had 2 be b/c there were multiple open cold cases of missing and/or murdered girls in that area, which implied there was an active serial killer or abductor out there. So, they couldn't pull the typical "missing person 48 hr" procedure. If there is suspicion of a serial killer/abductor, every second is crucial b/c it could save a life. Now, if there weren't any missing girls, then they would've waited b4 pursuing any leads.

I'm just seeing this months later. I'm so happy for her family that they finally have her remains and can have closure in not being able to lay her to rest. I'm also so glad her mom turned down that deal with her murderer to give up the location of Alexis's remains- the audacity on that monster's behalf thinking he could get less time. I grew up in Lynchburg, and it was quite terrifying when Alexis disappeared, same with Morgan Harrington, and Hannah Graham. Those few years were so scary being a female. You really could disappear in those woods and no one would ever find you, and as much as I love my home, it's terrifying at the same time.

I live here in Lovingston where she went missing from. Right near the store she was seen at called the Marathon Gas Station which is connected to McDonald's. Her missing person banner stayed up everyday until her remains were found. It was nearly a lifetime before they found her remains. This is an extremely small community but rugged terrain. Dollar General is the biggest store here. I can remember driving Hwy 29 to work in Charlottesville, VA wondering just where this gorgeous girl could be in this small community. Charlottesville is very busy and scary at night and I refused to work after dark there. I refused to drive that highway after dark. There aren't many places to stop if you break down. You are in the foothills of the mountains. This case definitely put me on guard forever. My heart still breaks for this family. I was wondering if he reduced his speed, ended up driving alongside her and said there was something wrong with her car so she'd stop. Well, if someone looks creepy, if you do not have your wits about you, if you are not conscience of your surroundings and engrossed in just looking good and selfie and social media you are in danger. No one is living in a perfect world. To let your defences down is to do so at your peril. No one wants to see a young person raped, killed and hidden from their family..I think there are more sickos out there than we would like to believe. But, definately we can get vibes off people. Social media can be both good and bad. Sharing too much information can be fool Hardy. But, girls can be over powered. Guns can dictate how hard it would be to escape with a gun held to you. It is a cruel reality but, human life is no longer respected by many. Young girls especially need to be constantly on guard. R.I.P

This is why I hate police departments rules, a person have to be missing a certain amount of time to report them. The rules should be for them to report them and look for them, have them call family so they will know for sure the person is safe. Everyone are not runaways. Not only that but you can be in another country in 24 to 48 hours. If they change that rule lots of people would be found faster.
@rationallyruby2 жыл бұрын
This actually isn’t true. There is no law or regulation dictating the need to be missing a certain amount of time before a report can be filed. They often just tell you that as they’re lazy. If they tell you that all you have to say is no I want to file a report.

It's so sad that many people don't realize that we all are eternal spirits living in temporary bodies and hell is very real...a place of eternal misery, torturing and regrets where the departed souls of the disobedient will go! I begged you all to repent and and turn to the One True God Almighty before it's too late. Stop the self-indulgence, vanity, sexual immorality, homosexuality, witchcraft, hatred toward other people and pride... John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

This is such a sad closure 😞 I am glad the family has finally received that closure. My grandmother daughter was kidnapped by a woman who was her next door neighbor in 1936 or 37 in San Francisco. Not sure the year but i remember my grandmother saying she was 5 or 6 months old and her name is or was Gail Patricia and she was born in 1936 or 1937. The sad part is the police didn't bother to investigate due to the fact of the race and my grandmother had other children and single. I wish I could've reunited or got closure for my grandmother because she never stopped missing her daughter.
