A murder concocted by a 16 year old girl who believed a potato could act as a suppressor and executed by an assassin who got so bored waiting for his target he started walking home. Am I correct in understanding one of the most amateur hits ever went unsolved by the police until an unsolicited confession landed on their desk ?

I'm furious at her and her friend, what evil entitled, spoiled brats they are. She's so selfish and everything is about her. She only sees herself as the victim. Just disgusting. I wish she'd rot in jail forever. Too bad she gets leniency. She wasn't a teenager who made a foolish mistake, she was heartless and clearly feels no remorse and hence doesn't deserve to get out.
@wuncieadams13522 күн бұрын
Billy, on the other hand, should have gotten life without parole since he was an adult.
@wuncieadams13522 күн бұрын
Dr. Grande, it is untrue that she is a hardened offender. She is responsible for 1 murder conspiracy, that does not translate as a hardened offender. She has had to grow into maturity while living with hardened criminals. That is not the best way to grow into maturity. Had it not been for the child predator she was involved with she would probably be living a free and ordinary life.
@tiffanymichaels24292 күн бұрын
@@wuncieadams1352 how can we be sure she didn't lie about her age when they first started dating? She may have told him she was 18 years old. If so we wouldn't know when he would have found out the truth. For example, what if he didn't find out until she was pregnant? True he should then say it's wrong, but then people would say he only dumped her because she's pregnant. If her parents kicked her out then where would she live? There's a lot we don't know about him. There is more than likely to be a reason why he wasn't charged with statutory r@pe. However, sadly with parents approval, in many states, a 16 year old can marry an adult. So while what he did was wrong we also can't assume she didn't lie to him. It wasn't uncommon when I was a teenager for girls to lie to be with guys in college. Also I knew some pretty horrible individuals in high school when I was a teenager, they just got worse as adults, they didn't go to jail for the things they did. Instead they were allowed to get away with it, that made them feel even more entitled. The whole situation is gross. But jail doesn't take a conscience out of someone, she seemed like she didn't have one to begin with. Now she's an adult. She hasn't changed, so releasing her wouldn't make sense. She'd still be a possible danger to others. Remorse is what they base parole on. There are youth who do change for the better while in prison. They do deserve a second chance. That is why the law was changed. It's for those individuals. Not for someone who remains feeling only sorry for themselves.

In her defense, she was only 16 and had ended up in a marriage. Which apparently also didn't make her very happy. (not saying that it was her husbands fault). And what was the background from where she came? So maybe the marriage was already an escape from that. Anyway, apart from all that, still no reason to kill the guy like that. He didn't deserve that at all. They could have just split up, or she could have left, pack her bags and go. So doing prison time, is a logical outcome. How long, you can argue about that. She is not the brightest person also.

4:15 I’m a court reporter and I reported a murder trial where the killer used potatoes as silencers. I had never heard of that before. It was a horrible baby abduction case. A woman, trying to convince her boyfriend that wanted to break up that she was pregnant, downloaded a sonogram picture off the internet and told him that she was pregnant . So then she set out with a couple of thugs to find a baby. Both she and her boyfriend were African-American and they kidnapped a Mexican baby after following the mother and infant off a bus, knocked on the door, and shot everyone inside. The mother survived and even remembered the woman taking her baby and saying, “I’m your mommy now,” as she went unconscious. The mother survived. Sadly, the baby died after the defendants fled with it and they dumped the poor infant in a dumpster where it was found by a dumpster diver, along with a bag with receipts for baby formula, which they tracked back to the store and obtained the store’s security camera footage. 💔 The woman even had attempted the same thing with a prior boyfriend who wanted to leave her, but he was suspicious of the sonogram photo.

First thing, I love Dr. Grande's sense of humor. Second, I knew these people: Amy, Sarah, and Jen all went to high school with me, I didn't know Ricky, but I was down the street when this happened, and I saw the medevac that took Ricky. As much as I love Dr. Grande, the coverage of this story isn't wholly accurate. There are two episodes about this on Dateline, and it was featured on a couple of Discovery ID shows around 2010. Amy and Jen were the two main predators in this story. Jen is a psychopath; she was a good friend of mine before all this happened (we are talking high school). Sara had nothing to do with it; these two girls set Sara up to find Ricky by tricking her into going upstairs to look for him. Sara was on the call with the police. You can hear the recording of the call to dispatch on the dateline. I felt awful for Sara, she was friends with Ricky she had no idea that they were doing this and they tricked her into being an alibi and finding Ricky dying. Mine and Jen's friendship ended in 96, and she stalked me for 3 years. She wanted to murder me; she sent random people after me, and they chased me through town, destroyed my car, threatened my life, and came after me with knives; it was an insane situation to deal with at 18 years old. She's not reformed, and she's not a good person. She's been out of prison for this crime against Ricky since 2019; she went back in for a short period just after she got out for a domestic case. Dateline contacted me through email when they were doing the investigation to cover the story. Photos of Jen and me were floating around quite a bit (we were good friends at one point). Susan Leibowitz was my contact, and I shared my experience, but I told them I did not want to be on the show or have my name mentioned. I knew Jen was going to get out at some point, and I didn't want the stalking to start up again because I went on national television telling everyone what a psychopath she was; I still have the emails. Anyway she tried to friend request me on FB and I actually wrote her I asked her why she wanted to be friends with me and why she threatened my life, her response: "Well, shit happens but I still care". No empathy, no apology, no I have grown, and I made a mistake "shit happens" is not really the best usage of that cliche. She's still insane and dangerous. I wouldn't be surprised if she sees a jail cell again.

One potato can be painful. A sack of potatoes could be fatal.

Clearly the Potato received the most devastating punishment.
