Teens face challenges in summer job search in Tucson

Teens in Tucson have been struggling with finding work this summer and one local mother shared her son's experience with us.

When you were 15, 16 & 17 you wern't competing with grown adults who were applying for those same jobs. I CLEARLY remember being a teenager in the 80's and grocerey stores, fast food, the movie theatres all of those jobs were teen type work - not anymore. As adults struggle to make ends meet, they are taking these jobs, thus leaving less available for kids.
