I'm sorry.. but the girl on the left is kind of bad at explaining things, it bothers me bc it's like me watching myself in youtube. I'm the worst at it, luckily the others are really understanding. my advice is that maybe try to line out the infos of the group that you want to say (kind of like brainstorming) before the videos, and memorize those points so that you can get your point across. fighting!!

Not all choreographies are done by American choreographers. Actually until Fire or Save Me, I think BTS choreography was done by Korean choreographer. EXO Growl was also Korean choreographer. BTS Save Me and Blood Sweat Tears were done by Swedish choreographers. Paris Goebel is New Zealander. There is a Japanese choreographer who does Kpop. So it's international.

She clearly says she "thinks the general consensus is that Jk is the most attractive in the group".......and nowhere did she say Jk is everybody's favorite!! I don't know where she gets this consensus from (even though Jk has my vote lol) but i thought it pretty obvious that she wasn't speaking in terms of "official" visual, or "fact", as you put it. Either way, when you say "general consensus" that's a blanket statement saying a majority of the public agree with that opinion. Which isn't true. Soooooo many people think the other members are attractive. Personally V is my favourite. And next would be Suga. Jungkook is very low on my list of most attractive BTS members. Not saying he's ugly, because he's definitely not. But he's not my favourite and definitely not the "general consensus." But the way she passed the statement off was as though she was saying he was the main Visual. Which he's not. As for the role of Main visual..... I'm a little surprised you're not familiar with that term. In K-Pop, roles of the members are divided into categories: Lead Vocalist, Vocalist, Sub Vocalist, Lead Dancer, Dancer, Sub Dancer, Main Rapper, Rapper, Sub Rapper, Group Leader, and the Main Visual. And I'm sure there's more categories, but it's 1:30am where I'm at and my brain is not fully functioning lol. Some of these roles can overlap, and sometimes they don't. For BTS, I'll list them out for you so you can better understand. *RM:* Group Leader, Main Rapper, Dancer, and Vocalist. *Jin:* Main Visual, Vocalist, and Dancer. *Suga:* Main Rapper, Vocalist, and Dancer. *J-Hope:* Main Rapper, Vocalist, and Lead Dancer. *V:* Lead Vocalist and Dancer. *Jimin:* Lead Vocalist and Dancer. *Jungkook:* Lead Vocalist, Dancer, and Rapper. Now let me explain each of the roles: *Group Leader:* the person in charge of the whole group: resolves conflicts, encourages members, speaks on group's behalf. *Lead Vocalist:* excel at singing/are amazingly good. *Vocalist:* is just good at singing, but not phenomenal. *Sub Vocalist:* not the best at singing/weak or not very stable singing voice. *Main Rapper:* is very skilled at rapping. *Rapper:* is ok but not great. *Sub Rapper:* not great at all but is necessary sometimes for backup. *Lead Dancer:* superbly skilled at dancing and has impressive control over their body movements and sometimes helps contribute to choreography. *Dancer:* is good at dancing. *Sub Dancer:* dancing isn't their strong suit. *Main Visual:* considered the best looking of the group and is used in promotions, as the star/lead of music videos, etc. Jin is featured in thumbnails for a lot of the music videos and is the main protagonist of the music videos and the storyline. He's also the only member to be hired based solely on his looks and not having any talent or experience in singing and dancing. J-Hope is a phenomenal dancer and contributes to the choreography. Jimin is also very skilled in dancing and attended a dance academy before being signed by BigHit. Jungkook, J-Hope, Jimin, and V all make up the Dance Line because they're very good at it. While Suga, RM, and Jin are usually towards the back because they're not superb. Jungkook, Jimin, V, and Jin make up the Vocalist line because they're all good at singing (obvi lol). RM, Suga, and J-Hope make up the rap line because they're great at it, but Jungkook is unofficially a part of it too. He used to rap at the beginning of BTS's career, but now only raps when he needs to fill in for somebody or very rarely. That being said, they are all skilled at everything they have to do. And these labels aren't to put anyone down. It's merely that nobody is perfect and is extremely gifted in every area. So some people are Leads while the others are just Subs. But anywhos, hope this helped clarify.

I was only asking what you meant by "main" visual, because as far I have always known, Jin is the visual. To me, "main" implies more than one, that's the only reason I asked you that, to see what you were referring to....not to find out what a "visual" is. Now, as far as what this girl says.....maybe I didn't get my point across well. What I was trying to say was I don't think this girl was trying to come off as an expert, she was just stating what she had heard and thought she knew. Jin is handsome ofc but he isn't in my top 3 most attractive if I had to list them, even if he is the visual, so yeah it's just a matter of opinion. Honestly these days I really believe that probably more of ARMY considers Tae to be the top visual in BTS. But again, it doesn't matter because ARMY isn't BigHit, and BigHit is the one who cast Jin as the visual. I am aware Jin was recruited for his good looks....Tae was as well, when he went to an audition with his friend. Perhaps since he was voted World's Most Handsome Man last year, Tae would be a visual as well as Jin, if BigHit was to update their roles list, who knows? I mean, why not, he was recently added to the dance line too. Regarding the roles you list and who fills them......our lists are similar but don't match up exactly RM: Leader, main rapper, producer Jin: Visual, vocalist Suga: Lead rapper, producer JHope: Main dancer, lead rapper, sub vocalist, producer Jimin: Lead vocal, lead dancer Tae: Vocal, dance line, prob should also be a visual Jungkook: Main vocal, center, lead dancer, sub rapper **I also can't say I agree with you as far as Jin's roles in videos or thumbnail pics....do you have any facts to support this, or is this your opinion? And yes Jk used to rap more in the early days, then concentrated more on vocals, now has gone back to doing a bit more rap...I am pretty well aware of what my bias does lol

I don't think your classmates can fully concentrate like that... And trust me 98% the people who would search video of non-kpopper reaction are already a kpopper. And I'm confused sometime like why would some people ask so many questions at first impression? I mean like usually the first time watching MV you should concentrate on the song and graphics right? Then second time you can go figure out who's who and what the lyrics are really saying. I dont blame Kookie or Jimin at all. In fact, I think it's BTS' fault and I do somewhat agree with it. Jin is still blossoming as a vocalist and he wasn't a natural born one- he was trained and taught. He still has to master singing it live and performing it. I think in a few years or maybe even months (bc jin is a talented boy god bless him) Jin will massively improve and be able to sing more lines. I love Jin and I'm sure he's okay with the line distribution. Im glad he's getting more attention though with variety shows and such. He's really letting his personality shine, not afraid to be goofy and young but old/ old but young. He has such an immortal feel to him, i cant describe it. I love Jin so much and why did this turn into my favorite things about jin idk??

When that guy said that he thought Jin was handsome like ME TOO, he stood out the most to me with his face, he's the VISUAL for the group for a reason. Rapmon (even though he is the leader) is always at the back when they're dancing because he isn't the best lol he's still amazing but the best dancers are always at the front. But if you watch their older videos you would probably see why he would be the leader because he used to have more lines or would start off as the center and leads the group. This is what I noticed how they are positioned: Jungkook is at the front A LOT because he can do it all, he can sing, dance, and rap, he is the golden maknae. While j hope and jimin are positioned between him, suga and v are at the sides and Rapmon and jin are at the back. I have an idea about the pattern. But yeah great reaction. I don't see in many other reaction videos, to this mv, of people discussing about the music vid in detail.. it's great. I wonder what you guys will say after you watch blood, sweat, & tears.. that's if (;

Sorry I know you posted this like ages ago but I just wanted to correct something. Usually, the best dancers are in the middle (JHope and Jimin) Jhope is the dance leader and had background in street dancing before joining the group and Jimin had a background in contemporary dance. Jungkook is a good dancer as well and is considered by most to be part of the dance line but ultimately Jhope and Jimin are the ones who are exceptional and get a lot of solo dances (as in a whole segment/song just for them). They do this so that the gap between their abilities won't be so obvious. Evidently, that is not always he case, the arrangement by skill, sometimes it's just depending on who's singing but generally that is how they're sorted. xD sorry I just felt the need to correct this, don't mind me.

The leader is Rap Monster, he is a rapper. He is in the back, because at the time he was a little bit worse at dancing than Jungkook, J-Hope and Jimin. The same goes for Suga, V and Jin. J-Hope and Jimin were the only ones with a dancing background before BTS's debut, so the other members have worked very hard to become as good as they are right now, many don't know/understand how much work they have put into dance practising (and ofc still do). The policeman is Jungkook and he is the youngest (19/20 as of writing this). He is called the golden maknae, because he is good at basically everything. xD Jungkook is in the vocal line. The company worker is Jimin and he is also a vocal. Jimin danced contemporary dance for one year, but is also very good at popping. The racer is J-Hope and he is a rapper (and the best dancer in the group). He could have become a member of one of the groups that's under one of the three biggest k-pop companies in Korea, but J-Hope chose BTS instead. :3 The person with the drones is Suga (a rapper) and the guy with the bow tie and shorts is V (vocal). V was dressed like that in this video to honour the famous Japanese manga & anime (Meitantei Conan) Detective Conan. The doctor is Jin and he is the oldest (24/25 as of writing this). Korea has a different system when counting someone's age (the day you are born you are already 1 year old), and therefore Jin is either 24 or 25 (born 1992), depending on what system you wanna go with. Jin and V are underrated. Before, they didn't get as many lines as Jimin or Jungkook, but it has gotten better. In their newest album WINGS, they all seven have own solo songs, and there is a song that only those in the vocal line sing (Lost) and one that only those in the rapping line sing (CYPHER Pt. 4). The song 21st Century Girls is about today's girls and women and that we are good enough as we are. It's an empowering song. I recommend that you watch all songs with lyrics, because BTS always have a lot of deep/meaningful lyrics. They talk about important topics (instead of sex, drugs, partying and the like), which is one reason out of many why I like them. ^^

I think a few things has to be cleared out: Jin is THE VISUAL of the group. Other things like the most attractive, cute, etc are totally subjected. Yes, not everyone needs to find Jin handsome but just because your bias is someone else, you CANNOT take the title away from him. Jin is visual not only because of his face, but because 1)people thought he had a manga guy look, 2)his broad shoulder which are considered very manly in Korean, 3)his proportionate body and 4)because when other members were young and going through puberty (before their debut), he already looked mature and handsome enough to be visual.

Jin is the official visual in BTS, no doubt. He is not my type but tbh, he is really handsome tho. I would say Jin, Taehyung and Jungkook are all in the visual line. Jin and Taehyung are like the visuals while Jungkook is the face of the group or center of the group. Jin is so good looking who has that aura of being gentleman in his life while Taehyung is that one handsome guy being a bit mischievous and happy go lucky one. Jungkook has that kind of bad boy vibe and cool handsome guy. All of them are so good looking in their own ways, depending on your personal taste and preference.

And that guy who said Kpop doesn't spend much money on MVs is completely clueless. Some Kpop MVs can cost up to 1 million USD+. Most American MVs are done on the cheap. We used to make mega expensive MVs like Kpop back when Michael Jackson was popular back in the 80's and 90's. I think Katy Perry spends good amount of money on her MVs, but she's not American.

Lmao) beauty is in the eye of the beholder and she is obviously JK biased lol but give the credit to the actual visuals dude hahaha And yeah I agree with the distribution, it is NOT equal BUT they all get screen time and they all get at least one line in every song, people complain a lot about this and I don't see why, yeah Jin doesn't have many lines but he's sub vocalist, the roles were established since the beginning and he knew he was not going to get much, it breaks my heart but it's the truth, I do hope he gets more lines in their next album though.

Having given a role doesn't mean much to other people's opinion about someone, they will love what they love, and feel attracted to whoever appeals to them the most.

keep in mind that dancing skill decides placement. Rapmon, however, at events and award shows is known to push his other members to the front. He’s basically their protector. Watch some other stuff besides the music videos. They all have their roles in the group as far as technical abilities go. But they all hold a solid role outside of that as well.

I know I’m super late but what I need to comment is that they do NOT lip sync! Yes they use background vocals and prerecorded vocals once and a while but never pretend to sing or rap. They don’t move their mouth if they aren’t singing, they usually sing over the background vocals whenever they can when the background vocals are used. (They are used when the group has performed a few songs and need a soft of break/they don’t technically get a “break” since they still have to dance and try to sing/rap over the background vocals)

the choreographer that israel mentioned is parris goebel. she's with the dance crew 'royal family' and she's from new zealand. she's the one in bigbang mv 'bangbangbang' and have been working with YG artists for a few years I think. not sure if its an exclusive tho.

Usually for the choreography, they put the better dancers at the front and the not so good ones at the back. But they do change it occasionally to see what placement is the most convenient to transition to the next dance, idk how to explain.

:) So okay. The reason why jin, namjoon and yoongi are in the back most of the time is because they are the members who's not really experienced in dancing. Jin (the doctor one) has no background of singing nor dancing before he joined BTS. He is now improving his vocal and dancing skill though. Namjoon (the leader) is originally an underground rapper before he joined BTS so that explained why he isn't more on a dance person. Just like Namjoon, Yoongi (the pilot one) is also an underground rapper and is also not a dance person. The reason why their choreographer put them at the back is because they're not the worst dancers but is because they good at dancing but not that really good. They put Jungkook, Jimin, Jhope and taehyung infront since they have more experience on dancing. But for me, all of them are equally great.

This is over a year now but it amuses me how people leave some criticism against these poor teenagers who are probably trying to get to know BTS. It is quite obvious they are NOT K-poppers, or at least not armys. Isn't good they have some interest in BTS although they might get some facts wrong (eg who is the most handsome/visual role, or why RM is always at the back)? So aren't armys suppose to welcome them and explain things nicely without being whiny? The reactors have in no way been disrespectful to any BTS members and so there is no need to be so defensive. I actually really like BTS, love their work in music and dance. But I feel that some army's attitude towards newbies are so harsh and it actually puts people off from knowing BTS in deeper meaningful way.

Each member has their own unique charms and are all equally lovable in their own way. RM is my bias, but I still believe they're all handsome and each have lots of personality.
