10:23 Fun fact .. Jimin was actually the one that sang that high note in this official audio but when it's performed live Jungkook sings that part. Btw! The last bridge is "Jungkook-Jimin-Jungkook-Jimin" in this the song, so "I'm gonna make you fire baby" is Jimin's part and was sung by Jimin, but they perform using MV's order(Jimin-Jimin-Jungkook-Jungkook)

The sound it’s always confused with a saxophone, but it’s a actually a Korean traditional instrument. The high notes in the final product are actually by Jimin, but Jungkook sings them live. I personally think it was a weird choice of choreo in that part, at least on the official MV, because they could’ve just filmed them singing their own parts, but I guess they just didn’t want to mess with the concept of the video being choreo oriented and “1 take”.

Bang PD (aka Hitman Bang, or Bang Sihyuk) was their CEO for years, but he is also a songwriter and a man with incredible vision he has a big part on bts's creation and their music output, he's also become their friend, and he was there all along with them because he literally created bts lmao, he auditioned people, chose members, came up with the name, etc other bighit staff that were also there from the start: - pdogg (bighit in house music producer and eventual songwriter as well) - son sungdeuk (choreographer and kinda like a performance director, even when he doesn't choreograph he is still there for practice) - manager sejin (he was their manager for years, but around 2019 he became a manager for another group from bighit, he's good friends with the members) - slowrabbit (bighit in house music producer)

This was so much fun, as per usual! - As for who Bang PD is, he's "Hitman" Bang Shihyuk. He started out as a producer for JYP, then broke away to start his own company and formed BTS. - And I believe the very first time you heard RM say "어서 와 방탄은 처음이지" (Welcome, is this your first time with Bangtan?) was on "The Most Beautiful Life Goes On." - Lastly, IDK if you guys had addressed this in a previous reaction and I just missed it, but I was wondering if you had any plans on reacting to a full album from start to finish... because I really feel like you're missing out on some hidden gems. Their B-sides rival a lot of their title tracks, IMHO.

If my reply somehow made it sound like I didn't care that they have lives outside of reacting to the group's music, that is far from the case. THIS SONG IS WHAT GOT ME INTO BTS... i still remember it so vividly, june of 2015, a classmate from uni showed me, and another classmate this mv (she also turned into an army lol we bonded so hard over bts they were basically the foundation of our friendship) we just finished practicing for a PE performance at that time. i was sooo whipped and amazed by their dancing and visuals. Bang Shi Hyuk aka HITMAN BANG or Bang PD is the founder of Bighit entertainment and now known as Hybe Corp (he's the chairman now). But before he worked at JYP. He's a lyricist, composer, producer, and record executive. Most of the songs he made and albums that he produced even before BTS were pretty big in Korea. He's really a musical genius. Actually some people even said to him before that he's just waisting his talent by pushing BTS because a lot of people thought that they will just be failures. But Bang PD believed in them. There's even a heartfelt letter that he made before that always gives me goosebumps because what's written in his letter to the boys exactly happened during the time period he mentioned. That's why it's a running joke with the ARMYs that Bang PD is a time Traveller or he already had all of this planned since the beginning. Overall, him and the boys have great relationship with each other. There's even a BTS concert where he attended and instead of having a VIP treatment, he fall in line and watch with ARMYs just to experience the fans' experience and see what to improve for the sake of ARMYs.

In that little vocal bridge with the high note... In the recording it's actually JK, Jimin, JK then Jimin (high bit) rather than Jimin, jimin, JK & JK as seen on this MV and live haha you can tell once you get use to their voices. JK totally hits that note right though when they do it live. No idea why they decided to change the lines maybe Jimin wasn't confident to do that live at the time (they were a lot younger & Jimin did struggle with his confidence in singing though he was amazing to everyone else!). There is also a strange vocal change up on Just One Day when on the original recording RM did his verse as well as V's verse before but in the MV and ever since they have V singing it, maybe just because without that he doesn't have many lines apart from the verse... It's fun spotting these little things 🤓

so for me, Dope was my first introduction to BTS It was a random video recomendation on youtube back in 2015... I clicked it and liked the song and music video and saved the song to my spotify playlist... and a few years later blood sweat and tears rolled out and it was the same thing.. i somewhat listened and liked their music but it wasn't until 2018-2019 when I started doing the deep dive into their music when their love yourself series came out... My favorite line from Dope is "I reject Rejection" i just think its such a cool play on the word and context as well! Also with Dope I believe it was released around the time they started doing their Variety show Run BTS and that's why they use it in the intros for the first season of Run BTS and especially in the first episode as well when they are explaining what V-live is.

Dope is the first MV of them that my daughter showed me. I had asked her what kind of music she hears, she had been at a birthday party of another girl and they had put on BTS, that was her introduction to them. She also showed me Fire and DNA afterward, and I obviously couldn't miss how good of dancers they were. BUt I wasn't in on them yet, I just talked with her a bit about boybands and that I had one back when I was young, and that she's probably in that phase. I was like most people measuring them by the boyband stereotyoe at that point. Then went to see "Burn the Stage" in the movies with her because her friends couldn't go and after 5-10 minutes in I was already sold.

Fun fact a lot of newer armys miss in this music video is that the studio recording of this song doesn’t match up with who music video is showing. If you go back and listen with your eyes closed you will be able to tell who is actually singing (or you can just stream it) The high note at the end of the bridge is actually Jimin singing and Jimin’s first line in the bridge is actually sung by Jungkook. You really need to go through their discography! So many b sides that are great that have no MV but have live performances and even dance practice! I highly recommend...after you go through the MVs in chronological order you listen to each ep and album in order...I think there are either live performances or lyric video of every song. It’s good to do them in the track sequence because at times there is a progression in themes of the album! Some of my most favorite BTS songs are B sides! They literally have no skips in their whole discography! Hope you are planning to react to Jimins new song! I’m curious about what the guys will think of the instrumentation! Btw...hitman bang or Bang PD is the guy that put this group together...he is a producer and composer...he got the nickname hitman because he produced a lot of hits before he founded Big hit. He actually stepped down from being CEO of Hybe (he is still chairman) because he wants to concentrate more on producing...so now his focus is more on Big Hit!

Son Sungdeuk is their choreographer and stage producer (or something like that) and he's been with them since the beginning. Super talented work. He did a lot of the iconic stages and dances that we've seen from bts. Of course, the members, namely jhope, give input into the choreo wherever they feel is necessary.

⭐️⭐️ Woo Dope was one of the first MVs I remember and first song by BTS that I loved. I remember burning my kpop cds with all the new music out and Dope was my favourite one on there ☺️
