almost 16 over here and im lovin limp bizkit, metallica, korn, and stuff. theres something about mid/later 80s up to early 2000s rock/metal genres that i struggle to find with todays music the 90s to me seems like it was the time to be alive, cause from what ive seen, creativity was flowing. korn was the foundation for nu metal, limp bizkit came rollin out, metallica was throwing out awesome songs, pantera found their style, and system of a down talked politics extremely catchily (i do know metallica was also 80s)

I used to think it would've been cool to grow up in the 70s. But when I think about it, I really loved growing up in the 90s and early 2000s. The music was bomb, the internet was only on computers, no one had their own cell phone, and we were free to roam the town unbothered. Those were the times.

100% agree! For those of us that grew up in the 90's and early 2000's, we really had the best of all things. Music was breaking new ground and giving us something we could actually express ourselves to. Can you imagine trying to hit the skate park today with the current music options? Lol Heck, nowadays you can't even find skate parks and if you do, a mask is required! Lol if someone would have told me and my friends, we had to comply with some stupid mandate we would have torn that place to the ground while jamming to "break stuff".

So I listened to all their stuff growing up. I also like the disco and Motown of the '60's and '70's. My mom born in 1929 we went to the Beach Boys together. I also went with her to see Tom Jones. I also too her to see Genesis and Phil Collins. Two different concerts. She would listen to my music with me.

As a millennial I think we sometimes forget that our generation when we where teens in from around 1997-2003 that was most diverse period in American music history with music charting. We listened to everything from Hip Hop to Boy bands to Girl groups to Nu Metal to Rap to Pop Rock to Pop Punk To Eurodance to Eurodance to Swing to 3rd Wave Ska, to old school music & ect. We really did as teens in that period listen to everything not just one genre of music

It’s funny, because limp was crapped on by a lot of people back in the 90’s-2000’s, but now looking back, they were something else. I have such a greater appreciation for them, especially their newer stuff. Keep rockin fellas!🤘🏻
