After misbehaving in class, Eddy and Jason are sent to detention after school. While in detention, Eddy keeps pestering Jason to give him answers to their homework, but Jason refuses. Later as Eddy and another classmate are doing their work, Jason, who has Type 1 Diabetes, takes out his insulin monitor to check his blood sugar levels. Then as Eddy starts to once again tease Jason, a senior student comes to his defense and teaches them a lesson they will never forget.

Actually, they ARE different, but that DOESN'T mean they deserve to be treated unfairly or cruelly. However, sometimes the symptoms of their disease can manifest in PHYSICAL signs of distress and people SHOULD be aware of these so they can help them, if needed. Most diabetics know to monitor for the signs of low or high blood sugar, but sometimes, if they get to a certain level or if they've just got a lot going on, they might NOT even see that they're declining - or even in crisis! When their sugar gets too LOW they can act oddly - almost like they're drunk/high - or they can appear confused and anxious, possibly argumentive & combative. Their heart will race, their palms will get clammy, and they may start shaking and sweating, get dizzy or lightheaded and get a terrible headache. With all of this stuff going on, they can have trouble accurately or clearly conveying information. The can develop a pallor or paleness, especially in their face and lips. And they can end up fainting/losing consciousness or even have a seizure, which CLEARLY indicates it's an EMERGENCY! Then there are signs for HIGH blood sugar. If they drink a lot of water, very quickly, much more noticeably than usual and are taking more trips to the bathroom. If they're more lethargic than usual - as if their muscles are weak & harder to move to accomplish normal tasks. They may speak of being nauseated and complain of a stomachache. Their vision can become compromised, slowly or over time, and their concentration or ability to be present can diminish. Their skin will get drier, itchier, and more prone to infections that take longer to heal. If you know anyone who is diabetic, 1 or 2, just be AWARE of these signs so you can intervene and assist them, if necessary. Other than that, treat them like you'd like to be treated. 💯💯👍👍🫶🏻

When I started experiencing the trauma of early male-pattern baldness at the age of 14 in the spring of 1971, I it is understandable why as a young person I thought I had it very bad. But, today as an adult, early male-pattern baldness is absolutely nothing when compared to being a diabetic! In addition, this video has made me aware how it was no doubt, much harder to be a diabetic when I was a young person in the 1970's, than it is today. I hope someday in the future, medical science will be advanced enough to make counting blood sugar a forgotten medical practice and make insulin devices like the one portrayed in this drama, obsolete collector's items! Live long and prosper. If a cure for diabetes is ever discovered someday, then it can be goodbye insulin and hello chocolate cake!

I enjoyed this video since it dealt with Type 1 Diabetes. You guys did a fairly good job when it came to explaining the difference while, no doubt, trying to keep it simple for your audience. And excellent job with the pump & CGM! But in future it might be a good idea to mention the real difference between Type 1 & Type 2: Type 1 is an autoimmune disease, aka those of us w/Type 1 had no choice in the matter, whereas Type 2 can often be brought on by lifestyle choices. Otherwise good video! 👍🏻

Terrell very seldom do we see him playing the bad guy. 90% of the time we see him being the good guy. This video shows how we can all be when we all straighten up. There was a story about Franz Joseph Haydn who wrote some very nice pieces of music. That was about the time when Haydn was a young boy, a member of a boy's choir in Vienna. In those days, all choir boys had to wear wigs. During one of the the rehearsals, he wanted to tease another choir boy by cutting off the pigtail on another choir boy's wig. He did and he got in big trouble for it. Back then, he soon wished he hadn't done it in the first place. This video shows that if we are up to jokes, we really have to watch it. It's videos like this one is why I subscribed!

Eddy in particular was why Jason was sent to Mrs McDaniel's office and tried to get the answers without working by himself aka cheating through Jason!!! There will be more disruptions, Terrance was sent there as well for being late, how will resolutions present themselves?? Getting his insulin out was the final mistake Eddy made, Terrance felt targeted too because of his mother suffering!!
