Teensy 3.6 Invaders game now with sounds and snes controller

Made some progress with my teensy based space invaders. I have the teensy audio shield working with game samples and also connected up a SNES controller instead of using the rubbish buttons I had before. The aliens get progressively faster after clearing each level so gets quite challenging.

Perhaps, if I was to get it to a point I was not embarrassed to show anyone else, I tend to code by the seat of my pants and I am very much a old school basic programmer so my C++ is quite simple.
