Ella, You are unique and have qualities that are born in you and your looks don't hurt. I think you're dealing with questions, and doubts, what with this 2nd plan and the rest. What are 2 college classes about really? Nonsense. Make a personal commitment to ballet and don't look back, fighting for something you love comes only once in ballet. Committed to ballet is what you need take responsibility for your talent. BRAVO! And Good luck!
@arabellat51339 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is important to take confidence in her dance, but it's better to be safe than to be sorry. Ballet is not the highest paying job and she will most likely need a degree if she wants to get another job. Injuries and aging are inevitable. A Plan B is always needed. And you can never be too prepared. She's young so she can absorb the information from those two classes better than she will be able to later on.

Always have a backup plan. Even as a professional dancer, there is a limit. You reach your 40s and that's it. You just won't be able to dance like you used to. You won't get picked for roles. And then there is the possibility if an injury that can kill your baller career.

It's not just hard.....it's so hard almost no one in the world can do it and make it look effortless and graceful. Never give up and kn ow this one true thing........the artists in this world give us all reason to keep going in a world gone completely crazy. If there were no more politicians or C.E.O.s of lying thieving corporations we could all live just fine and maybe better, but with-out the arts it would be difficult to continue on and not feed or very souls. thanks to all of you that make this world a better place.

Kate Gerber It’s not a myth. I did ballet and finished my training at the Royal Ballet School at age 17. I never had a period until just before I turned 18. And I wasn’t extremely thin. The combination of keeping your weight low and the huge amount of hours of training, both contribute to a loss of period.

I have a wide rib cage myself. Part of ballet posture is a “closed rib cage” which is achieved by simply working on it and having a good teacher to help you. If you don’t have the “right” body type you’re fine. You can do anything as long as you accept correction and relax :)
