Yes, Michael Jordan is the GOAT. Its not even close, he was on another level above anyone who has played up to this day.

What really stands out for me is the fact that there are 4 players in NBA history who won scoring title, MVP, the ring, finals MVP and were all defense 1st team. Those players are: MJ, MJ, MJ and MJ. End of story.

His triple doubles while being pt guard and still scoring over 30ppg is crazy...
@gratitudedude428022 күн бұрын
All this, and MJ slept like 4 hours a night. Drinking, golfing all day long, gambling and playing cards all night, while getting daily intense workouts and then playing games almost all back to back. No cryo chambers, no fancy weird fluff workouts, no load managing, no team hopping, no getting fans kicked out, no flopping, no flopping all over the place. No cheating. MJ never lost in suicide sprints, while out working his entire team every single day and always lead by example. True leader. The best ever. GOAT. Not Lefraud, lebum, lebalco, lecheat, leflop. Man, anyone who thinks that LeBron is the goat hasn’t studied the game or learned its history at all, not even 1%. Lebron is not even in my top 20. Way more respectable players from the past. Man I don’t even want to out him in my top 50.

Yes MJ is the GOAT and it is not even close debate. In a 7 year stretch (from 1986/87 to 1992/93) MJ won the Scoring Title every single year (whilst averaging over 30+ppg every single year) and he did that whilst missing a grand total of just 7 games. Also during that same 7 year period he won : 3 NBA Titles, 3 League MVPs 3 Finals MVPs, 1 DPOTY award - becoming the only player in NBA history to win the Scoring Tile (in which he averaged 35 ppg) and the DPOTY in the same season), 7 All-NBA First Team selections 6 All-Defensive First Team selections MJ operated on a different level to all the all time greats both before and after him and he did it at both ends of the court, game in game out.
@lookinforthe70s22 күн бұрын
This was never a debate. If someone watched Jordan play back in the day, it was obvious who was the best. And even more obvious now.

Jordan in his bulls days scored more than half the 30 point games vs the rest of the bulls players in it's entire history he scored more 40 and 50 point games than the entire history of the bulls combined He won them all their chips in their history He is the Chicago Bulls

Just to answer your question about 'who's doing that?' regading MJ averaging 30ppg and playing "elite, lockdown defense": since the last time MJ averaged 30ppg and made all-defensive 1st team in 1995-96, here are the only ones who've averaged 30ppg and made either an all-NBA defensive 1st or 2nd team - just shows how damn tough it is to do [edited for typos]: 2008-09: DWade (2nd team all-defensive) 2006-07: Kobe (1st team all-defensive) 2002-03: Kobe (1st team all-defensive)

In response to "Jordan didn't beat Bird." Bird retired generally losing by 30+ points against Jordan's Bulls the last 5 or so games. Bird also lost to Pistons who Jordan's Bulls swept. This argument is silly

Its a team sport. Bird had a better team MJ's first 3 years. Since then, Birds Celtics won less and less games.

Here is a link to some gameplay of MJ against the Knicks in the playoffs in 92. The Knicks were almost as physical as the Bad Boy Pistons. I like these types of videos because it shows the good and the bad of how MJ played against a tough opponent. I wish it showed some of the Knicks highlights because they did have some ballers too and Ewing was a lot to deal with. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hIabZWCZl8efjcksi=jRpvWuscqSEpxTGo
