The only point in taking the TEF before over the TCF was if you were weak in listening since it was much easier in the listening section. Now, it's harder in every section except speaking (in which they are equal) since you can no longer play the recordings twice. There really is no point anymore in the TEF. It will fade out of existence soon. And i'll be happy to see the back of it.

Hi there, Starting when will these changes be in the test? I am taking one next week and was wondering if the oral comprehension is still 60 questions or if the latest format will be introduced later on...? Thanks so much!

Hi! The changes have already been implemented starting December 11, 2023. Oral comprehension will now consist of 40 minutes and 40 questions (compared to the previous 60 minutes/questions). Good luck with your exam! :)
