I've almost bought one yesterday after a day spent ironing! So glad you've reviewed one, it looks great. I actually like ironing, I'm a hobby seamstress. I do exactly what your friend does! I have a lot of airy items that are tough to iron so this is a great solution. Putting a crease back into trousers easily is just the cherry on top! For the amount of faff holding the clothing upright and flicking it side to side, I think I’d do a much quicker job with a standard iron. Great review and demo!

I (male) do enjoy ironing - it is very relaxing. I can put something on TV as a background. And I like to watch others iron to, especially woman - something about it :D

Excellent review! I have the product. It IS good. However, I agree with you not as good as an iron and doesn’t save much time really, though good for occasional thing. Also the amount of steam that goes into the atmosphere is something else.

Nice demo. Not sure about the wet spots. And would it dry without leaving residue. It seems ok for curtains but dont want to have to get an iron out to finish off. So undecided. Wondering if it could be used on a duvet that you have already put on the quilt. I guess so. But would need a good few hours after using steamer to dry out. Mmm still thinking about it 🤔.

They do dry out without the residue. Yes if you were going to use it on a duvet or quilt, I would recommend leaving it a couple of hours before using it.

All you need after that is to get a dehumidifier on to get the moisture out of the atmosphere. Cue another testing video!

I bought a cheap steamer a while back. Ostensibly, it was because I have a few items that are heavyweight or tricky to iron because they are wool or linen but we also do bedsheets. It is brilliant for woollen jumpers etc that are risky to iron on high heat. I still prefer to iron shirts than to steam them (even though I hate ironing) as it is more effective and presses them better. It’s ok on trousers but, again, if I want them “pressed” then ironing wins! What I would add is that most of the models out there seems very overpriced for what they are. Unless you’re doing loads of garments all at once or you have a business where you’ll use it regularly then a cheap one will do for most people as they are all basically the same.

Nice video and presentation, keep going like that! It's looking like a toy, compared with a classic TEFAL iron. I use one from 9 series and is the perfect machine for that. Besides the curtains, I wouldn't use something like this.

Do you find the water tank is loose fitting although seems to work ok. Not sure if thats normal.

I can't get it to steam, like the button does not budge at all even with the lock thing off, either I have too small hands and am too weak or this is broken

Sounds odd and it could be a faulty unit, I would contact Tefal to see if they can help get it fixed.
