This does not necessary transcend to foreign audiences but I feel like the song and lyrics also play with the idea that the Finnish expression for 'I love you (minä rakastan sinua)' is actually a deeply emotional one that we Finns do not dare to use often. I have never ever heard anyone say 'minä rakastan sinua' to myself (not even my parents) - and while it may sound sad, I know that the reason for that is just because we Finns are very timid and not so open with expressing our emotions verbally. The Finnish word for 'love (rakkaus)' contains so much emotion that the English word 'love', which is tossed around here and there like in this and countless of other songs, in comparison feels like nothing. In the end, Pandora learns to express 'mä rakastan sua' and this single Finnish 'I love you' phrase overpowers the previous numerous English 'I love you's :D That's how I interpret the song anyway, and find it to be a lot of fun also in that respect! For the non-Finnish viewers, and why not some younger Finnish viewers as well, the Finnish lyrics are full of references to old Finnish hits from past decades. For instance, "saat multa horsman" is from Irwin Goodman's "Rentun ruusu", and "Assanvessakassa" was a hit byt the short-lived but popular trio "Mascara". There are more, perhaps more modified references, I should read the lyrics with thought, but any way, now you know. Oh yeas, and the T-logo on the arcade games was the logo of T-kauppa, a Finnish grocery store chain, that disappeared in 90's.

I am VERY impressed with the level so far, Finland! I love the retro vibes, the chorus is extremely catchy and the aesthetics are EVERYTHING. This could do well in Rotterdam. Taattua Teflon Brothersia. Säkeistöjen sanat on ihan mahtavia kuten odottaa voikin. Kertosäe on varsinainen korvamato, joka kappaleen jälkeen jää soimaan päähän. Pandora laulaa edelleenkin hyvin ja tämä soundi sopii hänelle vallan mainiosti. Pandora will be Eurovision Curre Lindström for Finland Yle Euroviisut. They should attach her to the UMK as an artistic director, and as a spiritual leader as well. Some example to mention. When the candidates were announced, and get-together. Pandora invited fans to a virtual champagne dinner with her. There were two events, on the public side, and in a closed group of fans. And in both of them she was dressed in a different evening dress . This is kind of thoughtfulness, from which Finnish artists could learn. It is the creation of an atmosphere. Not just for the fans, but also for the artist. You know creation is a painful job, it needs a suitable atmosphere that creates a trail. And it must always be re-created.
