Even though they're posted opposite each other like there's going to be a debate-off between them.

Great interview. I love them to death. Love the version of Stop Desire at the end. It proves that although they've focused on pop lately (very smart and high-quality pop), underneath it all is still that awesome alt-folk they've always been.

This is a great interview and of course the acoustic songs they played. Glad they got to do this. I've been a fan for a long time. They are the best!

Yeah, I've been a fan since 2002 or so, back when no one in my country knew them. It's great to see how far they've come. :)

It's awesome that T&S got exposure on a serious show like Rose's!

Dude, fuckin' awright man, they made Charlie Rose. I'm so happy I can't type without sounding like an excited stoner dude, man. EDIT: Man, first Jian Ghomeshi, now Charlie Rose. They can't get a goddamn break on the big interview platforms they land on. Now we have to be suspicious of every host they've ever talked to.

Why the hell are you happy about that ? Like he " gets " young alternative gay women..... He's mocking them .....if I ever found myself accidentally at a party or concert with him and his friends it would be horrifying
@michaelclark29018 жыл бұрын
How is he mocking them?! He comes across as respectful and genuine. You're the one that is sounding intensely judgmental...

Kristen Waterton It's hard to take your position seriously with ellipses like those. And it was just a delight about mainstream recognition. They been knocked about for all kinds of shit throughout their career and now they're getting proper exposure and that's cool (man).

I love how they discuss reclaiming the term "queer" because I also prefer to identify myself with this broad terminology, as opposed to a more specific label.

For those complaining about Charlie Rose, it could be worse. It could be Jimmy Fallon interviewing them :-/

I never heard of Charlie Rose until today :O I heard of Jimmy Fallon but I don't think I watched anything of his..I take it he's not good at interviewing? D:

Give me a fucking break. He was nothing but respectful to them. You realize this is a talk show with a limited time window, right? He has to get the conversation back on track so they can cover all of the topics before the time runs out. But apparently that's "mansplaining". I love T&S but their fanbase is so fucking horrible and you contribute to it. I bet if the interviewer was a gay woman and was talking over them just as much, you wouldn't have any problem with it whatsoever.
