Notice at 55:17 BNSF's " no horns " crossing Sumner street at Kern Junction. My image to the left was taken at Caliente a long time ago from an old Kodak slide. Love all your video.

Thank you for this video. I really enjoyed the footage you had of Caliente. When I was a kid we used to go through there to visit my grandpa up in Bod Fish (what a name!). Then I used to go up there myself to watch trains. You didn't have any footage of the place where I would sit in my car and I've wondered if it's still there. I used to drive up a hill on the left of the road and park under a tree. I met a guy once there who told me that when he died he was going to be cremated and buried under that tree! It's been over 20 years since I've been able to get up there. I wonder if that guy had his wishes fulfilled or not! Anyway, thanks for the update. I really enjoyed your video. Nice angles.

You have a gift for mixing camera positions, angles and editing. You have a great feel for making your viewers feel like they are right there with you. I for one, however, miss your brief overlays saying where you’re filming from. Being a fellow rail fan, I like to find your filming locations so I picture in my own mind, especially since I’ve been around many of your filming sites. Please considering doing that again.

I'm in the process of making some new templates for location titles that should start appearing in videos by mid-March (since my upload schedule for the next month is already set in stone). I kinda stopped doing that for a while because of lack of time and it didn't affect viewer metrics much but yeah, I 10000% understand the need to know where shots are taken, cause I have that too. Stay tuned!!

I just spent 2weeks around the Caliente area with the my drone. Original plan was once i had Caliente mastered i would work my way up the the hill. Crashing my drone wasn't in my original plans though haha. Back to South Dakota i went. Looks like it snowed there.
