Oh i have managed to get the foundations under the platform now I needed to hover the skiff so it stays hovering while not driving and it worked easy. Next problem what is that short wall your using? Is it a fence foundation but from the dlc?

Did you use any special settings to allow you to build further from the main platform area? When I try to do some of these moves it doesn't allow it. Says it's too far from the platform.

Try to build the foundation after moving

Look up the pillar lowering once you learn how to lower pillars those pillars can create a lower snap point to snap too mind you when you do it you have to have foundations down to place the pillars when building on the skiff.

It’s one mod they’re using. CKF Science fiction, really great mod when building in Extinction or Genesis, amazing look. Side note: generator, junction box, and lights are part of that mod. Also the entire hangar is made of structure pieces from same mod.

I can build past the platform but only the back 4 foundation the front 2 won't allow it. I managed to get 1 at the front down but realised it was because foundations were not centred but when centred they both won't go.

I haven’t been able to get it to work. Plus I’ve lost the damn build twice ejecting drops on extinction when the skiff is too close. Somehow it blows up the foundations on the skiff

Not anymore, wildcard nerfed it to hell and you can't build past the skiff's platform...
