Ark: Military Patrol Vessel - Motorboat (Speed Build)

This is the first raft/motorboat build i have done on my channel. to recreate this you will need to increase the structure limit of your motorboat/platforms and have no clip enabled so you can merge structures together.

Not sure if this helps anyone, but the only way I've been able to extend n place triangle foundations was snapping it under a square thatch ceiling. all other materials or even triangle ceilings wouldn't allow me to snap a triangle foundation. only square thatch ceiling, gave a snap for any triangle foundations

I raised the limit to max on building and it makes no difference. Might make a slightly smaller version of it

Pretty sure you have to have S+ for this build as on unmodded servers you can only extend the structures a total of 5 foundations in any direction from the base 3 x 3 foundations used on the motor boat.

no mods used in this build since i was on xbox one x but you do need a nitrado server to mess around with some settings that you can't normally do. I did another build like this called the millitary combat ship and i put a pinned comment that told you what i did.

@@SypherSam can u please link. I haven't been able to figure out how to change this limit for rafts and platform saddles. For the wooden raft the max size is 9 x 9 and the metal motorboat is 13 x 13.

@@SypherSam - You can use the Mosasaur Platform Saddle and Plesiosaur Platform Saddle to create a submarine. The only downside to doing so in 'official' is the platform structure cap, but you've already raised that to build a motorboat. You also can't use vacuum compartments on a platform saddle, although you MIGHT be able to use them if you're using the Structures Plus mod. I know I was able to place autoturrets, and those won't go on rafts in vanilla.

You have to be playing on a nitrado server with certain settings if you are on console and if you are on pc then i think you can do it in single player

Im on my nitrado server. Ive have the structure limit on platforms turned up a lot and i think i removed the limit to how far i can build away from the platform. I watched a bunch of videos to find out these settings

@@SypherSam One suggestion, when you're having slowdowns because of snap point problems, it's ok to just clip that out - go right from the initial (mis)-snap, to the finished snap in the correct position, or the placement of the additional structure to give you the right snap points, then the structure. You can put a very short fade or text effect as a transition. That way we don't have to see that struggle or get flicker vertigo from all the snap point bouncing :)

You can only build this far out if you have a nitrado server since the nitrado servers have 100s of more settings you can change.
