He only came back because the fans wanted him to. He WAS destroyed by the lava back when Namco decided to get rid of him for good, which is why he wasn't a playable character in Tekken 3.

@@MastaKilla63 And now Heihachi's been destroyed for good by Kazuya doing the exact same thing. Only difference is he's not coming back because his death officially marks the end of the Mishima saga. Plus, his voice actor's dead too

It's just going to be Jin and Kazuya now. I'm aware that his voice actor is dead, so if Heihachi does return, it'll be interesting to hear what his voice sounds like.

You know, something just hit me: Why make Kazuya (the hero of the 1st game) the bad guy? Likewise, the previous game's villain, Heihachi, becomes the good guy?

He technically wasn't a "good guy" in Tekken 1, considering that he sold his soul to the Devil to get revenge on Heihachi. As a result, Devil's influence made him who he is Tekken 2 onwards.
