Tekken 2 Opening FMV
Remastered in 1080p using ESRGAN [AI Machine Learning]
ESRGAN is an AI Neural Network software that is capable of upscaling and reconstructing low-resolution images, while retaining most of their elements and details intact.
I took the original video file from the Tekken 2 PS1 disk, and used ESRGAN with the Manga109 training model to upscale the video 4 times its original resolution.
Original resolution: 320x240
ESRGAN Upscale: 1280x960 → 1440x1080

@@GeneralBulldog54 And let's face it, it's not LIKE Kazuya couldn't resist the Devil Gene if he wanted to try to, he's only accepting of it due to his hate for Heihachi killing Kazumi as well as what he did to him and how it consumed his heart full of revenge. You can tell though that Angel is trying to keep Devil at bay, and to try to save Kazuya's soul from the darkness.

@@omegamanGXE Exactly! Which is the tragedy of it all. Even for how Tekken 7 tries to portray him, a lot of what happened in the end is Heihachi's fault, especially with how things are with Kazuya. If things had been better for him, Kazuya could have been able to resist the Devil Gene. But in a way, Heihachi took that from him the day he tossed him down that cliff, as well as the hate Kazuya had for his father killing his mother, even if he never knew the full story.

This Is 1 of many reasons why video games were so amazing during ps1 and os2 era of the 90s and early 2000s. The feeling you get from watching this compared to stuff nowadays in almost like day and night in terms of the effect it has on the player. Still 1 of the best intros ever and tekken 2 has 1 of the best video game music soundtracks of all time.
@ArctheLadder
@ArctheLadder 4 жыл бұрын
The character motivations are really visceral, and the key villain is on the nose for modernity. While I think there is some meta aspect that is all the technical things that came to be possible with better rendering and technology, it's clear the narrative became so much more evocative of what people have to struggle against. The Mishima Zaibatsu is this anti-christ kind of figure, and the best characters are the ones who have really direct motivations for going up against that. I really love how King and Armor King are presented, but Armor King is clearly King's Id, this fantasy where the darker part of you pulls you back into something like competitive fighting lol. It's so good.

The best tekken intro...back old memories when i was a child and found ps1 with Tekken 2 under my Christmas Tree on 1997...I never skipped the intro before playing the game!

I must say, tekken 5 intro is my fav, but damn how incredible is this piece of art right here. You cant explain it, its pure art at its finest sense. The little details, and all that in 1995 :0

Even though I’m a Mortal Kombat fan by heart, I can still say that to this day, Tekken 2 will always be my favourite fighting game of all-time. And this intro is one of the main reasons why. The music & the visuals are incredible.
