huh, long combos based on plus frames instead of juggling. this was probably much more common in PS1 fightings but i never knew about it since TK3 spoiled everyone

Soul Calibur counter hit/wall combos, DoA, VF have that to this day. It's basically link combos for 3d fighting games.

Yo!! I forgot all about this game! The Steven Segal dude had me dying 😆😂🤣 ☠️💀 ⚰️ He was definitely my favorite character in the game! Tekken should bring him in as a guest character in a future DLC! I Would immediately main him 🙌🏾💪🏾💯😎🤣

As a kid I played Kensei in Arcade and never got to know the name, the only thing I remeber is a character named Douglas in a suit. Thank you :) Now I can replay it

Imagine Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat but their combos are based on plus frames like Kensei. Almost everyone in USF4 would be broken and MK 9 would probably be a nightmare to the point where the best characters like Jhonny Cage would have to be nerfed into oblivion to make things fair.

Some moves only stun on CH, but hellsweep in that 7x combo is one of the rare moves that refreshes CH property within combo so. It combos into itself. If you don't lab the game, it's kind of playable, mb even fun. But if you do lab, it falls apart, just like Tekken 2

Hm... I've never heard of Kensei before, but it looks very technical! Reminds me a lot of Virtua Fighter, except the damage is obviously tuned in the opposite way.

Alongside Tekken 3 and Soul Blade, Kensei was very famous in India 🇮🇳 too. My favorite was Yugo and Hyoma

For the Kensei combos, at what point is it not a true combo? For the first Yugo combo, at which point did it fail to be true and why?

I mentioned that in the description :d All stuns that cause backing away animation can be broken with a very tight db3,db3 input. In Yugo's combo, everytime he hits with a knee - it's a breakable stun, so 2 hits of this specific combo. It is possible to work around NOT using the knee, but that would make combos look boring and repetitive, so I decided to spice it up with a bit of untrue combos (which are still likely to work out due to frame perfect inputs requirements) Please check description, you might enjoy it :d

3:29 how to do this king b+1+2 with 3+4 into a db grap true? do i move a lil bit after i do the 3+4? or just grap is it perfect framed? or does it only work on some characters? i hope my inputs made sense😂

It's very timing based and I DON'T blame you for failing it. On a human level, it feels like it's rng whether it will count as a natural combo or not. And if you are EXTREMELY quick, you can even activate a teleport glitch, like here: kzbin.infok3BDSWlBW-w

Still Namco's Tekken and Soul calibur has the best animations of any 3D fighting games. That's why i couldn't learn or play Virtue Fighter or Dead or alive. Althought movement in Mortal Kombat is always stiff, yet 3D Mortal Kombat from the PS2 era had better animations than VF or DOA.
