I have to say your tutorial on Raven helped me become great with him again on Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. I used be really good with him on Tekken 5, but struggled with him on T6 and TTT2. They were really helpful and become a better player with him.

I started playing Tekken like most players with a Mishima.. My gf got tired of me dying with no style so she suggested I play with Raven... I started out Rank match 0-11. 3000+ matches later I am now a Brawler. Your videos helped me get better. So this is my thank you... PSN Slycanthropy.

Thank you for this Tutorial cause i was doing street fighter controls on tekken which was wrong. I thought that all fighting games had some form of Street Fighter Controls in part in them

The king of puppeteer head games Raven. Excellent at high risk high rewards bait and switch tactics. One of the steepest learning curves in the game (up there with King), but an utter bliss once mastered. He is the absolute shit if you can develop a play style that baits your opponent into whiffing for maximum punishment or throwing moves easy to block with the right balance of pressure and evasion. Raven is very swift and light footed, so it's very easy to set the pace and keep the opposition guessing with a few mix ups and taunts. I used to drive my friends absolutely insane with him to such an extent, he got put into the too good to be used category and banned. Little did the amigos know... Paul was my back up and King my ace in the sleeve... I was virtually untouchable with that trio.

It doesnt help that I just started playing in January, but yeah. Actually I started using df+1, db+2, and (from back position) b+2~3 last night. My moves have never connected so easily. Between that, 1+2, 3+4 moves, f3+4 moves, and 3~3~4... Raven feels like a cake walk. Now i just need to get my counter moves on point. Thanks again. I almost feel confident enough to go try online again.

The timing should be fairly easy on most combos just don't try sample combo 7 with raven its a bitch plus ff3 actually there's more complicated stuff the that like snake shenanigans I hop you learned him try to just do 2 ff3s in a row. And after a juggle move do ff3(most likely buffer it) than 1 b1. Then as a ender do ff3 f23. Also you should buffer your ff3. Just don't try 3 its nearly impossible. Ravens strongest ender is ff3 ff3 to f23

Just bought Tekken 6 and i am determined to use Raven, i remember him as the coolest character back in Tekken 4 (or 5 i can't remember) I don't know if he is any good but i don't care !

Raven is my 2nd favorite fighting game character of all time - right after Kano ;] I never got into Tekken games before trying T5:DR on the PSP and playing Raven. Gotta love that Simon Phoenix and Blade crossover ;]

it can be tough. you have to input the command (F,F 2) pretty fast

I've been using Raven on Tekken: Dark Resurrection. Would those beautiful counter-moves work on that game as well?

Some of them but not all. He got most of these in tekken 6.

SouthShallRise Thanks; This was still pretty helpful as a lot of it turned out to still be relevant. Forward-Forward-3, down+forward+1, and forward+1+2 have been really useful for getting me out of corners, but usually I use down+forward+3+4 and just teleport over them to the other side, then kick their ass into the wall. :P

the competition is tougher on playstation because tekken has always been on playstation systems. raven can work with anybody if you practice enough.

Definitely don't jab more than once before the bound move...they are weak and make the damage percent drop because you're adding more hits (that are weak)
