Someone else said that Lidia seemed like a Tekken-based Virtua Fighter character and I think this showcase really emphasizes that 100%. Lots of stances and counter stances here leading to other movesets. Quite deep.

Crispy easy to understand editing, taking the tekken font we're all familiar with and layering it on the bottom of the screen so we can easily understand the combos (chef kiss). Video isn't too long or too complicated and its a good introduction to the character. Great stuff.

Damn, her karate is so sharp and complex. I love her design (her face and hair color remind me of that "Female Tekken Force Soldier" concept art, and her scar looks like a cool tribute to The Witcher 3). Finally an interesting and not too fancy female character that brings Tekken back to its real martial arts roots by focusing more on the impact and martial aspects of fighting.

Not complex really the stances are pretty damn simple for the damage she puts out

​@@HatsunPidgeon The simplicity of her stances doesn't define her complexity (but e.g. variety of moves derived from each of these four stances do). She has a pretty much complete set of tools for many different situations, the best of which are locked behind interruptible and expandable stances that derive from various Katas so that their proper use requires commitment/dedication and a well-thought-out game plan so as not to make her low risk/high reward. Try to make some moves from her stances against someone who knows the matchup, uses generic keepout tools and spacing to maintain a constant distance or simply plays offensively/mashes... it really isn't that simple.

@@INecr0 its quite easy actually because most if not all of her moves are high damaging if a little unsafe but she has a lot of mix up potential as well so her pressure is extremely high without much effort on my part

Not sure I would say she's complex, she's pretty easy to play execution wise for the output you get and she has really good easy pressure. Most of her shit crumples adds to her easy damage.

Really helpful vid, ty. Just a note on the df4~4 combo, you can get get an extra 6 dmg and alot more wall carry if you do df4~4, b31, db3+4, df2(Catfoot2)3, b34qcf1+2. Carries across 2/3rds of the stage and with a wall ender you can reach over 100dmg. Same combo also works for ff4~3

At the wall 3,1~2 > ff2 seems do do the most damage and puts you into the CFSII so you can press f to get into PTSW and 1+2 tech rollers for a guaranteed guard break. ff2 is tricky to pull of, but can be done consistently.

Amazing video and combos as always, and so damn early as well Whilst I was labbing her and the combos, I found that all the combos ending in b3, 4, qcf1+2 can instead be ended with her qcf2, 2, bff1+2 string for 1-3 more dmg (depending on the combo) and a little more recovery. Some situations require a deep dash, like after a df2,CFI 3(B3+4 stance) screw, that make it more difficult to do a qcf motion out of the dash, and some are easier. No real work around here, just be sure to make clear inputs with the starting down & hold the forward. General tip when doing her qcf2 string, doing the bff1+2 as early as possible after the 2nd 2 should make it hit, and as an absolute scrub that plays with binds on pad, I mash out the 1+2 after doing the bff movement as early as possible and hold the last forward when pressing 1+2. Edit: An example for an exception to qcf2 ender doing more damage is on her 3,2 starter.

As near as I can tell from fiddling, her two input blue spark moves (b+3,4,qcf+1+2 and qcf+2,2,b,f,f+1+2) aren't actually just frames, but timing based - if you do the qcf after the 4 hit connects, and do the entire b,f,f+1+2 input after the second 2 connects, you get blue spark. I don't have the proper tech to make sure that that's actually the case and not just how it seems to me after labbing though. I've been doing that and it makes it really easy to always get the blue spark, at least, but it's possible that I'm just accidentally doing the correct thing and my reasoning is totally off. Note that b+1+3_2+4 (parry) 2,1:2 is a just frame though, just to make it a bit more confusing.

I found that after ch db+4 if you delay the f,f+3 a little bit, it gives you a guaranteed launcher. I made the settings to standing and guard all with quick tech roll, so it should be legit.

this combo route doesnt work on small chars tho. the second df 2 whiffs. but this works: after db 3+4 >> df 2 stance 2 >> df 4, 3 (S!) >> ender. does 81 with the blue spark version.

She can do 85 damage from 3, 2 no walls and no rage... With a wall you can get 110 or even more. Combos are not everything but im pretty sure in a few weeks she will be considered top tier

@@Pollokyn yea but first you must have a good execution to get this dmg or even more then 110, Kazuya is a retro char and can do this much dmg too but you have to learn it first (df2 to ewgf or the 4-5 ewgf and then the df1,4 to screw)

@@-no-gravity-6518 nah, she doesnt require that much execution, i can do her combos consistently after like 15 minutes of practice and my execution is not that good (my electrics are not consistent at all and not even in dreams i could do df2 into pewgf or a 4 electric combo) and even if you cant do the hard combos you can do 78/81 with an easy one

The content and creators should be approached by Namco, the number one thing stopping Tekken from being played to capacity is Namco, because of the lack of move lists and instructional material.
