Been almost a year of watching these streams and they've been the biggest help to my game. Keep up the good work.

I think jab istrings are Bryan's most import moves. If you can get them to respect your 10f jab strings, It makes Bryans slow moves much more effective. Also, 1,2,4 is highly underated. I use it as a 10f counter hit move.

I agree! Hopefully we can learn to utilize them more effectively in the coming months!

How do you confirm that a jab hit or not, in time to use the frames? i10 doesnt seem like enough time
@vontiban18 күн бұрын
You can set a bot to random guard with a jab punish (to test your speed) and practice hit confirming a 3+4. Overtime you'll develop speed like you would practicing throw breaks. Based on what I've seen in the input history, it seems that you have around 30 frames to react to the jab hit, so it's similar to a snake edge or other seeable low reaction. Not to mention, in match you can also twitch confirm by seeing your opponent start a move that gets counterhit by the jab, which gives you some more time to react there as well. Hope that helps!

@vontiban it did help, thanks homie. I'm curious how it works tho. I thought you had !18 to react, coz a jab comes out at i10 and it's +i8 on hit

The way I understand it is that all moves on hit and on block have a number of frames where neither player can move. Then frame advantage is applied once that mutual "stun" animation finishes. If you think about it, for the 10 frames of jab, you don't know if it will hit. Then it hits/blocks for a number of frames where you and your opponent both cannot move yet but you can buffer moves. Then your buffered move comes out either a 1 frame or 8 frames before your opponent's buffered move, depending on whether the jab hit or was blocked.
