I'm planning to main Paul in 8 so this video was helpful in seeing what he can do.

"hadouken" 2 seems to be strange, many times I execute forward 2 instead, and in log the down/diag/forward is ok.

A couple of things might help you there. In practice just go over the motion to get a feel for it without the 2. If you're doing it right then Paul will do a crouch that moves him forward, also known as a rolldash. This will let you know that you're on the right track. It may also help you to try inputting it as both a smooth sliding motion from down to forward, or alternative inputting it as two distinct presses: first the down then the forward. Hopefully one of these methods will work for you, but in each case you should get the dash. This also applies to Bryan and Nina. Good luck.
