@jandipopo_art20129 ай бұрын
Ive been looking for this kind of video for days now thank you! Feng players there, here are some knowledge i know that wasn't mentioned in the vid - 3,3,4 is a scrub killer. They either get hit with the low, or get countered by it. Counter puts them lying down on their belly so do a stomp to hit them grounded afterwards. (not sure if stomp is guaranteed but at low ranks it hits lmao). If they start blocking it, you can hold back to cancel it to Back turned, and apply the mid engager and low sweep launcher mixup. - the 1, 2, 2, 10f punisher. If you held back after doing it, it puts you in back turned which gives you the mid and low mix up again. If they press alot, just do BT 1. Its a high 12f move that gives +14 on counter hit, which guarantees a shoulder. - On heat, Fully charged f,f 1+2 is a guard stun that gives you +10 frames. So on the wall, the On heat b1 is guaranteed and will give you a wall splat. If the enemy is fully pressured and you're on heat, throw this charged move, they will eat a full damage wall combo. It's basically unblockable, unless they interrupt your charge. - hitting an On heat, 3+4 guarantees the back turned 3. Or if you don't want that, just like in the vid you could go for the mid or low mix up, but i like going for the 3 cause its free damage. You can even hold forward after the stomp for shifting clouds mixup. - Every time you hit a WS 4, WS 2 or DF 3 on block. Press 1+2. Only if the enemy likes to jab check you during your pressure (it's basically a frame trap). It will parry and hit them, which also gives a free shoulder. Putting you on heat, and you can now start your pressure. This is especially strong against steve lmao. - Back turned is Feng's strongest stance. Moves that transition to it are valuable like the ones i mentioned above. Full crouch 4,1 is a good poke, and only pressing 4 puts you on BT so you can mix them up again. So if you like throwing it to poke they will often just hold back not knowing you're BT and get launched. Side step 2 also puts you in BT so you can apply the mixup again. - Sidestep 1+2 on block then B1 is a frame trap. (The first move shows feng stepping forward and using his left hand so you're immediately in range for a b1.) Again, If an enemy loves to jab check, they'll get hit by this. Very strong on the wall. Much stronger while on heat because of the improved B1. - For combos, after the screw, you can do a UF 3 that spins the enemy upward and do a 3, 1+2. Just additional damage haha.

Bruh you a legend for this rn I'm struggling to get outa assailant rank any Feng or Reina info I'm really searching for this is my first Tekken so knowledge is useful even stuff that may be obvious to your average Tekken but I might not understand for instance I just realized just during this guide that the forward 4 combo I've been shortening doesn't let me extend the combo because the character is off access which I didn't know effects combos I also heard that you can't parry knee attacks which I found odd

Even basic stuff like cycling through the opening options and neutral thoughts is incredibly helpful, and I really can't find anywhere else that covers it at all.
@Macalaka9 ай бұрын
nice video. I like how you really take us step by step through your thought process. I just want to add a few thoughts of my own. Back dash with intention, if you back dash and just let whiffs go, you need to start thinking of your whiff punisher as you back dash, anticipate a whiff more than react to it. CD1, really is insane. I was playing vs a Feng yesterday as Bryan, he kept doing CD1 so I thought ok I better do keep out with 3+4. it goes under Bryans 3+4... F4, not sure if its the same for T8 but in T7 you would want to hold back after F4 to make it safer, and if it launches you hold d/f, let you go and press 1, you will pick them up with WS1. Also if they block F4 and you go into back turn you get a bit of distance and they can whiff. I need to test this more in T8 though. F3,2. I've noticed the second part is counter hitting people? no idea why. my friend played my Feng a shit load in T7 and will launch me for f3,4 100% of the time, yet if I do f3,2 he gets counter hit, so possibly a good anti Tekken 7 player move XD.

@ZeGermanGuy9 ай бұрын
Maybe someone else has commented on it, but just in case: Jabbing after a blocked B 3 is a bit of a waste, there are a couple of sweet frame traps possible. Among the riskier ones are B 1+2 (launch punishable) and hopkick (also unsafe, but potential launch). But a really, REALLY nice frame trap that has been doing a lot of work up 'till the red ranks for me, is f 2,1,1+2. The startup is 15f, so it fits snugly behind that blocked B 3 (+6), and if the whole thing lands as a counter it's a whopping 50 guaranteed damage with some nice knockback, wallsplat and what have you. And while the shoulder at the end is just as unsafe as Feng's normal shoulder, the first two hits are completely safe, so you have plenty of time to confirm and either finish or abort the string. Just make sure that the first two hits are actually landing as counters (it has a bigger visual effect and sound), otherwise the shoulder won't combo and you will get launch punished. In other words, if any of the first two punches are either blocked or normal hits, abandon. Try it, it is a lot of fun.
@chongor9259 ай бұрын
Thanks for this comment and you're so right. My next guide covers frame traps that build off of B3 but so far I only had the hopkick. Your F2,1,2 (u only need to press 2, not 1+2) and explanation of hit confirming it are really helpful. And the straightup shoulder after is also great. Will lab these. Thanks for the tip!
@ZeGermanGuy9 ай бұрын
@@chongor925 You’re welcome. And yeah, F 2,1,2 is of course right, realized too late that I had a brainfart. You can then mix this frame trap up with lows (like oh, I don‘t know… db3? Which on counter knocks down and gives Backturn okizeme?) or throws. Man, Feng is fun.

to be honest i saw tons of yutube matches tutorials but your bright idea of taking the gumble at the first second in the beginning of the match or backdashing away to gain neutral is insane . wich means if you dont rely on your movement you rely on luck i think spacing is the best way to reach a higher rank nd beat stonger mix up or gimmicks players in tekkne as quick as possible

i'd like to add that after landing a db3 counter hit you can backdash out of his backturn stance and every wakeup option will whiff and you can punish with f34 on reaction every option. i safer way to punish wakeup mashers instead of committing to back turn d3, which loses to springboard and recovery kick as well as being unsafe on block. just now have been labbing that as an option it seems very safe and consistent. i'd recommend trying!
