love this thanks man! What do you think is King's gameplan? I rely pretty heavily on conditioning them to duck, but not sure if there's an arguably better way to play him
@neacomkv11 ай бұрын
Great video! I'd recommend against following up df2 with throws however. Because its only natural follow-up is 1 (which is a High, good players tend to duck after df2 in most cases. You're likely to end up whiff punished for it, unless you're facing a weaker opponent or if you've conditioned them well not to duck.
@beigemaster11 ай бұрын
Yeah good point, in a previous video I mentioned doing DF2 into DF2 to condition them first!

Do you need to input first directional within the 9 frame buffer window or u can do it earlier and the only requirment for throw to come out is to finish command after recovery?

Thanks- I'm a bit bunged up with a cold at the mo though! RE high-level tips, I'm really not a 'high-level' player as I don't have enough free time to invest in Tekken properly outside of KZbin- but PhidX is a pro player who is also a really good KZbin content creator and he did a good analysis on Lil Majin vs Jessandy who are both King pro players which is worth a watch! kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYKtk4yse9OiZpIsi=soXz4Z8CUEjHSF8z If I can, I'll look to make some 'Anti Character' guides, but just waiting to see what it's going to be like after the incoming balance patch!

From what I see online and my personal experience (Ganryu Rank), King seems to have a very hard time against ultra aggressive characters such as Lili, Dragunov, Brian, Law. With bad backsteps and generally slow moves, but great armours, King's defence is very odd, and no channel as covered a defence guide specific to King. Any suggestion? Maybe an idea for a new video?
@beigemaster11 ай бұрын
Someone suggested specific anti character guides with King in mind- this is something I'm going to look into doing as I think the new replay feature could be really handy here to try out various solutions! Without sounding too arrogant, I want to try and spend the time ranking up to where I feel I NEED to work on my own matchup knowledge to progress and that's when I'll probably start making them as a series.
