To be fair to Kazuya, his father Heihachi threw him off a cliff as a kid because his wife Kasumi was possessed by a demon and Heihachi suspected that maybe Kazuya inherited the devil gene. When he survived that, Heihachi threw Kazuya into a volcano instead and in the seventh Tekken game, Kazuya repayed the favor and threw Heihachi into a volcano where he died for real.

As a long time tekken player, a sword in a tournament isn't that outrageous considering this is the same franchise that had multiple men that were easily pushing 100 keeping up with teenagers and bears. Just wait until you hear about Jin, the main protagonist of 8, literally starting World War 3 in tekken 6.

I'm not sure of the process that goes into writing these lines, nor translating them for an English-speaking audience. However, I was slightly surprised by the way Azucena was translated with the coffee comment: in the original Spanish (so far as I can tell) the line is literally "Coffee is the number one drink in the world!" Not nearly so aggressive as "The tastiest drink in the world is coffee, or nothing!" That would be more like "¡La bebida más deliciosa en el mundo es café, o nada!" Is it purposefully being translated as more aggressive in English? Or is the context of the original Spanish something I'm unaware of? Fascinating all the same. EDIT: I couldn't perfectly hear her winning line later, but it ends with "...Azucena, ¿crees?" It's basically ending the line with "Don't you think so?"

I will always hate when games make you win a fight (resetting when you lose) just to make you lose in the following cut scene. If the story requires my character to lose, then just make the fight impossible to win so I can lose and get on with it. The win-to-lose bit will never be acceptable.
