Honestly I'd like either option, but the usage of the T1 ending and the fact that it says "get ready" rather than "get ready for the next battle" could imply that we're getting ready to experience Tekken 1, aka THE FIRST battle. But otherwise, they haven't said a damn thing. We do not know.

@@santitheperson9416 Maybe it's not Tekken 8 but it sure as hell isn't a reboot. Why would they reboot it right now? Tekken 7 ended in a cliffhanger with Kazuya supposedly having to fight Jin one last time. Rebooting now would make no sense at all, especially if they are aiming for sales, Tekken 8 would be the best choice... people right now are hyped up about it so it would literally make zero sense to reboot it. As for the "get ready" it's obvious: If they stated "get ready for the next battle" right away, the surprise would be gone already and rumors would die off, eventually leading to poor sales of the game because by the time it came out everyone would have forgotten about it. My guess is it's Tekken 8.

Rebooting the series now will really have no sense: Tekken 7 ended in a cliffhanger and they have the opportunity to sell a lot with the next game if they make Tekken 8.

This was kind of refreshing. I used to get this feels. I grew up between Oakland and Osaka. I only live in Japan now but I remember making it like church to be at taito gamestation every week to play the lastest tekken and Gundam Vs game at the arcade. Some how i lost that way. I haven’t been into the arcade in over a year and the last game I played was Elden Ring and can’t remember before that I never thought there was gonna be a Tekken 8 but when it comes i want to get into that mode again.
