You can feel how Harada and the team received orders from Bamco to entirely remove kbd on infinite to make the game look "fun" to casuals.... In the end Tekken 8 did not attract casuals that much and it displeased those who always stay.

No "hashish" on db2? Maybe just me, but good luck blocking that.

I think fighting games now are harder than back then, because of the frame data. Back then you had to fight on on reaction more than frames.. I been playing fighting games since first street fighter and tekken came out..

Once he gets 3 stocks of his install he can go into his ultimate version were his hellsweep doesn't stagger and he can remove recoverable health when he combos the opponent

Heihachi has 1 token per round, he can use them to perform better moves or save them. When he gets 3 he can buff himself hard (like Geese did with meter more or less), that's the orange/yellow aura and sparks at 6:03. I assume that's why the blocked hellsweep didn't stagger
@TemperedPuro9 күн бұрын
@@maximilianoalcaraz7351 He's right. However to have a no stagger hellsweep, you need all 3 tokens and press 1+3+4.

I don't think he has a stance after Db2, it's rather than he has a new WS move instead. Looks like a new ws2 replacing the old one, but could be 1+2 as a new input, who knows.

He does one in the trailer. He has 2 versions. One is from stance, likely works just like Jinpachi's from Tag 2. Other one is raw, and works like his legacy one I'm sure. Interestingly seems like his stance electric is a tornado.

You gotta understand with Knee, he found the playstyle of kbd poke game extremely suiting to him, so he abused the hell out of it and Bamco noticed that it did not look good on camera for the casuals to see Knee poking and backdashing like a madman until time runs out. Tekken 7 favoured defesive style of poke and run while Tekken 8 massively nerfed backdashes to entirely eliminate the "boring" defensive poke style that Knee mastered, and on top of that the game gives you a free heat meter on every single round to force a mixup (thankfully heat smashes have been nerfed down but still problem).

Well, Tekken 8 might not be fun for everyone, but everyone who plays it surely had quite some fights you can say was like a movie scripted fight scene and I think the fast fluid animations in this game are exactly for that purpose, I think there should be a competiton not in which who is the best fighter and KO his opponent as quickly as possible but who creates the best fluid fight scenes for a clip presentation. a so called fair show fight with fluid fighting. People just don´t have time no more these days and every fucking round has 60 seconds to use creating a fun ass fighting scene, thats the fun about the game. In Tekken 7 the animations were slower and everytime the animation stopped you had a short break inbetween before the new button combination. And the Heat option was given in Tekken 7 aswell just not that extremely animated.

Jon is obviously a world class player but his king is definitely not optimized. And i am not talking about combos either. He is clearly not a king main, just playing him till marduk returns. And dashing GS can be differentiated from isw by looking at the pause before the throw, where as isw never comes out from standstill. Bati had an excellent video on that. The 2 throws are never a true mixup.

My take: French players took over the DBFZ scene because they redeveloped the team structure that had carried over from MvC which they made obsolete. The reason they made it obsolete was that DBFZ introduced the active tag mechanic meaning team structures could be much more versatile and the original pros had yet to see how they could make the most of that. The traditional point/mid/anchor structure was no longer the undisputed optimal formula, but it took a while for the new model to catch on. I think the same about Pakistan. It just seems like that same type of pressure cooker situation of a new approach to game mechanics that develops in isolation due to increased difficulty in travel. Sort of a mutation into a speciation if you’ll permit an analogy that feels a little pretentious. Bear with me (and old heads please put your salt to the side for a second): I think part of the issue is that legacy Tekken players often dismiss updates to the Tekken formula as “gimmicks for casuals/scrubs who don’t care about fundamentals” whereas Pakistan’s pro players have developed a sense of embracing the new focus on rushdown, more aggression, more risk/reward etc - yet without neglecting the fundamentals that made the older pro players so dominant. I think that’s why they’re just sweeping tournaments at the moment - they’ve adapted to “new Tekken” in their pressure cooker.
