Im not sure if it gets mentioned but people didn’t point out that a player like Knee didn’t even qualify and he’s been going on a tear as of late and could probably be one player that could make it out of the LCQ with how well hes been playing. I get the skepticism because of how its currently structured with folks who qualified being eliminated in the round robin are able to participate in the LCQ but what if they don’t even make it out at all because we got hungrier competitors just waiting in there who didn’t qualify but are more than capable to be in the top 16 like Knee, Yagami, Doujin, Jeondding, Keisuke, etc. and just take them out regardless? That kind of matchup drama makes it more exciting for me in my mind.

Wow, shout out to Strog. I have never seen anybody play Steve like he did. All the time he was micro dashing in your face and baiting for B1. That is never a playstyle from anybody in the world. Heera Malik, Numan CH, Lowhigh all have never played in this style. Definitely unorthodox.

I think people assumed tekken 8 was going to be like tekken 7 with chip damage, a new combo "bound" mechanic, and heat as a combo extension tool only.

Only thing about tekken 7 it was a defensive game but when they added characters with projectiles and bars with characters that can’t help their situations. So it made it a little unfair. I didn’t mind it I found it challenging to experience characters like that when I’ve been playing tekken since 3. If they were in tekken 8 it be a different story.
