This is the most concise guide on Ling that I have found so far. I recently picked up Tekken8 and let me tell you it is a VERY far cry from the beloved Tekken3 that I grew up with. Ling Xiayou was the only fighter I played and I developed the majority of her skills. That was more than 20yrs ago and picking up this type of game again after zero combat gaming has left me way more than just a little rusty. Tekken8 is a dream. I love all of the features and ways to play. However I am definitely at ground zero learning to play Ling Xiayou again and I find it difficult the majority of the time to combat others and their brute force. I will learn again! I suppose this is a good time to fall in love with a new character on the roster, but I'll always come back to Xiayou. Thanks for taking the time to put together such an awesome guide.

This is my first Tekken, and I really appreciate this video because I so love Xiao. However, I'm struggling with executing many combos because I find most of them to be quite complicated. It's my first Tekken, but I commited on others fighting game. I decided to play Xiaoyu and the biggest issue I face with her is her startup. It seems that most of her attacks have more frames than others characters. But she is super strong in whiff punish as people never guess if it will be a low or a high/mid incoming and her ability to dodge by using the stances. But it make her harder to play than many characters in my opinion. And I feel like I have to land combo on every opportunity as opportunities are hard to take with her. I didn't finish the guide yet, but I'm sure it will be helpful already after 10 minutes watching. Thanks !

Man, great job. Even if we know most of them it's just good to have it summarized. Thanks for the great work for the Lingnation! You did not mention about probably one very important thing which is regenerating her Heat after 3 steps in HYP. This is pretty amazing addition to her offensive and defensive game as well. This is the way we can pressure turtles to reach us out and at the same point power up our way in with heat moves.
