Tekken 8 - UEVR (Virtual Desktop 120hz showcase)

Showing off how the game performs with virtual desktop. Feels really smooth and the colors really pop using the vibrance enhancer. Extra features like VD's new AV1 encoding, 10bit color depth and the snapdragon upscaler makes it a really great way to play this.

Thank you for this video. I wanted to check out your mod since I've been following it for a year or so. This just completely seals the deal. I had an idea watching your video: I'm curious how good an experience it would be to load a level mod with a green screen or purple screen effect for the level and play the game in passthrough so it looks like the fighters are really there in your backyard or whatever.

Nnnnff my world's are colliding. I've been wanting Tekken in VR, properly, forever. Their implementation of VR for the exclusive feature for PSVR was such an absolute failure they completely walked away from VR entirely. They concluded to themselves that VR just wasn't viable, not that they just sucked at implementing VR. I seriously can't wait to jump into this. My Yoshimitsu is strong in Tekken 7. I can't wait to start my Tekken 8 Yoshimitsu career entirely in VR..... You have my money Sir. I am definitely going to contribute to your Patreon.

I’m not praydog but worked on the project testing it and doing this QA work. Praydog certainly deserves a sub on Patreon! He is a big fan of Tekken as well so we will all be there on release playing it online hopefully 😂 👀

Mortal Kombat 1 is but sadly it works really badly with UEVR right now. Hopefully someone goes in and makes a UEVR plugin perhaps to fix it up.

I'd like to know the settings for getting 60 fix frames. I'm using 4080, but my UEVR tekken 8 game frame is always keeping 53... No matter how many settings change, it will not be fixed.

Virtual Desktop for sure. Especially if you have a GPU that can do AV1 encoding.

How did you play tekken 8 at 120 fps ? i have 7900 xt but the thing is that it has nothing to do with that because i went and put everything on lowest and also the resolution in oculus software to 72 hz and extremely low res almost at bottom just to see if it has to do with my pc being too weak and it still did the same thing, so something is wrong, what can it be? What is the settings to be used? how do i run it at 120 fps?

Quite a lot! Street Fighter is REframework but praydog has another VR mod for that. All the Arc System Works fighters, so Guilty Gear Strive, DNF Duel, Granblue, Dragonball FighterZ. King of Fighters 15, EX Fighting Layer, Soul Caliber 6, Samurai Showdown, Omen of Sorrow. Then some 3D fighters like Kimetsu Hinokami chronicles. Quite a few anime games and JRPGs the list is pretty extensive. Look through my channel and the spreadsheet have things from Neptunia to Trials of Mana.

Does UEVR work as well on other storefronts (EGS, GOG etc) as Steam?

It works at the engine level, so the storefront shouldn't matter. Just has to be Unreal Engine 4+ (I forget if they mentioned a specific minimum 4 version).

Thank you, yes. Basically anything that is a UE4/5 exe that is running on your PC that hasn't got some kind of anti-cheat to prevent it from injecting.
