It's difficult to say but we have to remember Heihachi is the basement of basically all characters's story and tragedy since the very first game. If not, it was either Kazuya or Jin, both being broken by the said Heihachi in the first place. Now, Kazuya 'easily' survived the volcano thanks to the Devil Gene but Heihachi has none... yet, he survived a massive troop of Jacks's explosion after being pushed away on several miles and being knocked out for weeks... There's no way a 'simple' human could survive that, even for Heihachi. After being dropped in an awaken volcano, there shouldn't be any remains of him. Yet another question, will Jun come back as a spirit or as a whole ? If yes, how ?

I think those are some really good points. Kazuya having the Devil Gene could explain his ability to survive. But again Heihachi has also survived a giant cliff drop and a massive explosion like you said that would kill most normal people. Though Harada did say that the story line with Heihachi is over, it doesn't mean that he couldn't be a DLC down the line that has no involvement in the story or a replacement fighter who adopts his fighting style. As for how Jun returns, it was only believed she was killed, but there was no evidence of that. But she's also appeared to Jin in visions a number of times in the canon story line. Great question.

Although it's Tekken so literally anything could happen, I did get the feeling they were trying to really move the story (regardless of how weird it was) forward after Tekken 7, so having Heihachi just roll back in like nothing happened would sort of cheapen his death a bit imo. But then coming at it from purely a gameplay perspective, he's a core, unique character to play as, and it would really feel like there was a big hole in the roster if he wasn't there. I'm guessing dlc maybe?

I also believe that from what I know of the interview with Hamada, that in regards to the story line, they are moving past the fued between Heihachi and Kazuya. So if Heihachi does return, I think it would be as DLC or if they want that play style from the get go, then we are going to see a Heihachi type fighter who might be connected to him. Pray to God that they don't bring back Jinpachi, and if they do, he's not the broken version from Tekken 5.

I heard a theory that Akuma promised Kazumi that he will kill Heihachi. When Kazuya tossed Heihachi from the cliff, Akuma saved him just to kill him himself later on to fulfill his promise.

I feel he is too integral to Tekken to be left out completely. Even if he is not an active part of the story. They could just go with "old man literally too angry to die" explanation and it would fit his character, no further questions asked. Just bring my main back, Harada.

My idea: Maybe Heihachi may have an adopted daughter, (Asami Lee-Mishima) nobody know about her. In Tekken 2, Her parents died in Modesto in California because of a bomb threat which was caused by Kazuya Mishima and the MZ. When Asami was 6 years old, Heihachi adopted her, trained her in order to be able to win Tekken 3 and to become one of the most popular superheroes in the world. She is supposed to enter the Tournament in the age of 17 but she is not comfortable with Heihachi's education and his training due to her periods occurring every month. This was the reason why she ran away from him instead and hid on a forest. When Asami saw Ogre, she decided to return into the USA in Texas because Japan was to dangerous for her. There she lives her new daily life and trained herself more intensive by building up muscles and combining the Mishima-Style-Karate, Heihachi though her with kickboxing and her own Fighting style during Tekken 4,5,6 and 7. When Asami heard about Kazuya throwing Heihachi off the cliff, she was very sad and angry at the same time because she thought about that Heihachi saved her life and Asami could have died without him. Kazuya destroying Asami's childhood by killing her parents and throwing her adopted father Heihachi off the cliff makes her enter The King of Iron Fist Tournament 8 to punish Kazuya for everything he had done to her. I'd be excited to see a female Mishima like her in Tekken 8.

It's most probable that Heihachi would return, since he was to b leader of mishisma zaibatsu by a prophecy, and was planned to b killed by kazumi, maybe it had a whole more picture in background, let's say that Heihachi had too devil gene which he was unaware of and kazumi knew it, she planned to kill him before that gene manifests itself in Heihachi, maybe that gene wud help him return and make a way out as TEKKEN origins,

At first I didn't think that Heihachi would have any kind of Devil gene since he's never had one before. But his lineage all around him has it. Jinpachi, his grandfather, Kazuya his son, and Jin his grandson all have the Devil gene. So could they retcon it. Possibly, but I think that Harada is satisfied with not having Heihachi in the story line any longer. I think that having him as a DLC with his own side story that has nothing to do with the cannon would be fine. Though I wouldn't be surprised like you said if they did give him a sort of Devil Gene power after all this time.

Yes Heihachi will return in 8 as dlc. He did die in 7 and I believe it was decided to finally kill off Heihachi because tragically Unshō Ishizuka the voice actor for Heihachi passed away after 7 released to consoles. So from future games I’m assuming there will no more Heihachi in story.

I'd guess they'd just return him as a flash back character like kazumi. Or maybe a resurrection character like jinpachi. Idk I just think he died before achieving his potential but returning in the story (not as flashback) would be a bad idea. All I know is he should be in the main cast. If not they super messed up. Can't have tekken without playable heihachi or Kazuya anymore.

He will, but not in this game for now. For 1. They still haven't show the true Origins of what the Mishimas are and why the Hachijos feared and attack across centuries. 2. Jinpaichi's strange resurrection sort plays like a strong clue of what they truly are since Harada-san did confirmed they are not Devil gene users, but he and many others from the Tekken team and characters from the canon don't consider the Mishimas humans at all.

Harada-san did confirmed that the entire Tekken story has been written with some minor changes since 1996 in the Tekken 8 reveal ign interview and he stated that the game won't focus on no one else outside the Mishimas, because it began with the Mishimas, centered on the Mishimas, and end with the Mishimas. For those who don't know also the Mishimas have strong resemblance and share the exact same powers as the Oni Thunder God Raijin. The hair and thick long angular eyebrows all resembles Raijin. And he does have God Tier strength and can make bio electricity like the Mishimas aswell. An unknown entity that possess Jinpaichi probably points to Raijin or some powerful Oni demon.

That's actually interesting regarding the lightening god. I can see that as in the lore of that story, there is usually a lightning god and a thunder god and they almost always feud. Wonder if Kazuya could be considered the thunder god in that theory.
