Thats because yoshi is not basic as the others. Its a very complicated character that needs alot of digging. Not anyone can just simply pick it and make stuff happen. As per usual we will see normal yoshi cycle of tekken. Bunch of noobs pick character, realize after a while its hard and they keep losing and they either give up on the game or character. Its those loyal yoshi enthusiasts that always stick around and some new players here and there..

Just as an info: 1, 2, CH1 is also a launcher now, easy pickup with d+2 (LP, RP, LP(c), 2RPRP) CH1+2+3 is also a launcher (+18), pickup with f, F+4 (AP+LK(c), 66RK) second one is a bit tight but doable.

@@TikTok6oclock Idk, if you can pull it off I suppose. I think cd+1 is like 20 frames startup; 17 + f,n,d (and if d/f is on same frame as your 1). And CH 1+2+3 is +18 but may be more in some cases so maybe then you can use CD+1.

Just remember to use what is most effective. Different characters have different hitboxes. I've found that some of these combos consistently drop on certain characters unless you're standing slightly in the foreground or background.

For anyone having trouble with the FF+4 combo, you have to SSR before the dash up b+1, and you have to delay the 1 after the dash up d+2,2.

The damage is sometimes more/and often 1-2 difference if you go the 3,1 route, but you get less carry every time

Every character has different hit boxes. Also the distance from the opponent at rest plays a key factor.

You have to buffer the 1 + 2 so you press B2, 1 (hold), 1 + 2 this will animation cancel (make sure to press 1 then 1 + 2 rather than 1, 1 + 2, 1 + 2 too)

So, for FC d/f+1, you can go Fc d/f+1 back dash (3~)4,U DGF2 DGF2 DGF2 DGF f+1+2 for the same damage, but easier timings. Might be lesse carry, did not test that property yet. For f,f+4 I found f,f+4 delayed BT4 d+2,2,b d/f+1,2,1 T! 3,2,1+2 or the other finischer of NSS 1+4 dash d+2,2 for 72 damage. Doesn't look as stylish as the BT 2,d/b+2 route, but well, it seems more efficient. The generally most damaging route i have found so far is launcher into 3,1 DGF2 DGF2,4,b T! dash NSS 1+4 dash d+2,2>1, and it can be applied to a lot of launchers of Yoshi. Though I don't know if that one is maybe angle dependant.

4:45 is really good but for me I found it better to switch out the SSR Flash and onward for Dash 3,2, 1+2 for more consistency and you still get the life steal and it’s 88 damage instead of 91 Or if you want to make it even easier just do the string without the dash. The first kick will miss but the damage only goes down to 87 instead of 88.

You can get a bit more damage off the SSR Flash by doing F,F2*2. But this is harder and side switches.

CD = crouch dash. It's forward, down, down/forward. Also known as a dragon punch motion from street fighter. It's called "crouch dash" because that's the motion Mishimas use for crouch dashing.

Yoshi can enter NSS during many of his attacks by holding back at the end of an animation. He holds back here after D2,2 and enters NSS so when he uses his next sword move (3,2,1+2) it deals extra damage and gets extra range

Unsheath gives more damage and lifesteal. Some combos, like the common finisher of 3,2,1+2, only work if the sword is sheathed first bc it needs the added range

NSS gives certain moves more damage, different properties, and healing. UB1+2 for example does more damage and has longer range from NSS. flash launches in NSS.
