Fab형은 방패를 활용하는 방어형을 가진 사람인데 다살기형은 창과 검을 활용하는 공격형을 가진 사람이에요. 말씀 그대로 창과 방패의 대결이네요.

@myheartloveandsoul the music was chosen by the players. Hence NYC Fab having FAB(olous) the Rapper, aka The person he got his name from, Playing when he entered. Hoa (Anakin) had the Star Wars Theme Play When He Came In...Do you understand now?

@garyoak99 haha now it all makes sense. I was a bit suspicious of the Star Wars theme as well, and Emilie's comment confirmed it. Wow, that's awfully nice of Nin to work so hard for them. Just comes to show how tight the Tekken community is :) Thanks for the responses guys

So funny how they play hip hop music for NYC Fab, they player who happens to be black lol I also noticed how the international players have a substantial number of plays on their cards. Does that mean the Tekken IC card data can transfer appropriately to different machines, or did they purchased and register their cards in Korea?

@SvennemanZZZ What's wrong with playing pad? I prefer stick, but there are a lot of reasons why one plays pad. One of the most prominent IMO is that korean sticks are slightly different. They are used to different machines and when they got there, instead of using the time to get used to korean sticks, they used a more universal controller, the Ps3 pad, which they can practice much easier with since they have it in the US.

@bludika It really isn't and preference since both are capabele of the same thing. Stick is simply easier on the hands for continuous advanced movement which becomes extremely apparent with continuous play of the game. There's a reason why games with movement that isn't that advanced (or required) have more pad players than other games. Look at the Soul Calibur scene. It's split pretty evenly between pad and stick players since it doesn't require as much advanced movement like Tekekn does.

@hoshinocrimsonwings actually they two situations were totally different. in MLG the koreans played the "villain" role whereas here, the Americans are coming in as huge underdogs. also the americans got to pal around with all the korean players before RR so I'm guessing they have somewhat of a friendship by then. MLG was your classic, "defend-your-homeworld-from-imminent-doom" type situation so naturally the americans (who are so spread out in the first place) wanted to band together...

@SvennemanZZZ Here's the facts buddy... I play with Fab in session when he has free time. He can play both pad and stick and does pretty well on both. You can tell Fab to pick any way of playing and he'd still body you free.

@bludika It's easier to do on stick but it can also be done on pad. I know many people who can lightdash and space far more effectively on pad than they can on stick. Neither is better than the other. There's some things easier on pad and some easier on stick. Stick is more used in high level play since it's less straining to play continuously (which is what you do in competitive level) and the original layout of the genre since fighters started in Arcade and some like Tekken are still there.

@probablychris Well, my bad for grouping all the spectators into one bundle, some such as yourself clearly took a more mature path towards viewing the matches, but some of the things being shouted out were pretty mean, it would make the environment much less comfortable for outsiders. Be it pride or immaturity, I hope the environment will be better for foreigners coming into MLG. As of now, it's not exactly pleasant.

@hoshinocrimsonwings it's not just a game and you know that... if it was "just a game", things like MLG and Tekken Crash would not exist. To some it's a hobby, to some it's a passion, to some it's life. Gaming is a worldwide phenomenon and this mentality is not profound nor is it remotely new... it just is. it's human nature. the nature of the competitor

@bludika Everything done on a stick I've seen done on a pad in high level play and vice versa. I can WD just as good as I can on pad as I can on stick and there's been many a player showing that they can LD and use it practically in matches if they want to. Though again, it was noted to be harder to do and far more straining than on pad for obvious reasons. Besides, stick has a high learning curve for a reason and pad doesn't for other reasons. Just use what works best for you in the end.

@GalenSD
@GalenSD 13 жыл бұрын
I think it's amazing how ignorant people are... There isn't any difference in playing on a pad and playing on a stick... It's player preference and there aren't things that are "harder" or "easier" cause you're playing on a stick or bad.

@bludika There's no need to pointlessly put down other fighters.Though SC is HIGHLY respected on the competitive level and by many designers and the scene for Tekekn and SC switched players alot. So a lot would disagree with you. Besides it was just ONE example. I'm not talking pad players as the entire community otherwise it would be the same for Tekken or any fighter. I was referring to the high level scene of other fighters that actually had even ratios between pad and stick unlike Tekken.

@hoshinocrimsonwings You realize it's all staged right? It's also not an internet stream there, it's broadcast right on TV. So I'm sure they wouldnt act hostile towards them. Also for MLG it's a lot more like a boxing match, people get HYPE, and cheer for their friends and make it fun. Respect is not even a question, it's how the fighting game scene has been forever. Korea is the same way when at arcades, after talking to Nin they do that just as much as America does.

@xOmniCloudx lol tell me you didn't just mention a crappy game like SC, which is a joke compared to Tekken...besides, there are more pad players because they just use the controller that comes with the console, not because they prefer it over a stick, only fools still use pad at competition levels, i guarantee those american players would play better if they were to practice on a stick

@SvennemanZZZ There's more complex command movements in Street Fighter than Tekken (which is simply button sequence outside JFs here and there) and players like Vangief pull off shit like 720s and unbufferable 360s on pad constantly. Not to mention Fab is one of the top players in the world. Every time I see you post on a high level Tekken vid you always show that you don't know shit about the genre and embarrass people who actually do.

@probablychris I'm pretty sure starcraft is a lot bigger than Tekken worldwide, people can show sportsmanship in that "game". Hell, people in poker show a lot more sportsmanship, and a lot more "money" is involved in that "game" too. That's no excuse at all for the disgraceful attitude the spectators showed in MLG. I can understand why you'd want to defend your hometown, but unfortunately there's no excuse to act like douches.

@hoshinocrimsonwings I was at the MLG where GM beat Nin and Knee and believe me, outside of cheering against them during the matches, most of the people had nothing but mad respect for the Koreans. We basically know and acknowledge that they are the superior players so it's nice to get some wins against them. Also, it's the Americans who usually pay for their plane tickets and housing so no... no douchery was involved, just people being prideful... no harm in that.
