I feel like this was around the time where studios would straight up lie to actors about the budget and how wide a release it was going to be. Like they would tell them it’s going to have x amount of budget, and a wide release, then weeks before shooting begins, they tell them, oh the budget is now $30 million, and it’s not getting a wide release

The story is Tekken, I don't really care. But I've been playing since Tekken 1, to current, and to me, its the BEST fighting game on the market due to the mechanics. It uses true left and right combinations (LP, RP, LK, RK) and that to me is awesome. Even with the stupid bounce mechanics in the later games, still to me the best fighting mechanics.

@AJ-me6zm5 ай бұрын
Same company (Namco) did both so the designs can be similar. Soul Calibur uses swords/weapons, Tekken is mainly unarmed combat. Also, funny thing. In the first Soul Calibur (Soul Edge in the arcade, Soul Blade on American Playstation) you can actually turn off weapons so the characters had to use their fists....so basically turned into Tekken with different controls.

There's a few things that I think are important to understand. 1: When this movie was coming out, a lot of us Die Hard Tekken fans were more confused than anything about the character choices. Yes, we'd rather have Panda than random ass characters like Dragonuv, Miguel, and Raven. They're newer characters (at the time of this film) and really aren't core to the Tekken lore. Like why would you have them but not King or Asuka or something? 2: It's sad this whole panel doesn't know any of these actors. This is actually a pretty star studded cast in the martial arts/stunt world which I think is the angle they took on purpose. Cung Le (Marshall Law) and Roger Huerta (Miguel) were active professional MMA fighters in the time of this movie. Luke Goss and Gary Daniels are both martial artists/stunt performers. Luke Goss is probably more known than anyone else for all his B-Movie action work. Lateef Crowder (Eddy) was huge in international Asian action cinema at this time coming off of the Thai film Tom Yum Goong where he had an epic fight scene. He also played Baraka in the concept Mortal Kombat short. He was who we wanted to play Eddy if there ever was a live adaptation and we got it. 3: So if the acting sucks at times, the director/producers went out of their way to hire real martial artists/stunt performers first, actors second. None of these guys are winning any awards. 4: While we didn't mind certain people being cast, we didn't understand the choice to not make them more true to the character. Like forgetting Cung Le is not Chinese like Marshall Law, he still looks nothing like Law. They also didn't really include any martial arts moves from Law's move set that makes Cung Le's fighting any different than say Miguel's. This was a big problem. In the film everyone is just hand to hand combatting, not bringing dynamic moves from the actual game. 5: Tekken is probably a bigger gaming franchise in terms of tournament play than Mortal Kombat and most other games.

If that story about Kelly Overton putting her pants on backwards and them just rolling with it is true, that has got to be one of the best instances of "throw it in" in the history of cinema. Her booty is definitely the highlight of this movie.

I'm reminded that I am of a different generation/demographic than Tony and friends because (1) when he talked about the familiar faces here I assumed one would be Tamlyn Tomita as the mother because I had a childhood crush on Kumiko from "Karate Kid II" (2) when they kept mentioning Sisqo I had to look up the reference because I thought "that guy doesn't look like Captain Sisko from Deep Space 9."

They are not even real people. They have no soul, consciousness or right to breed. Most of them are gay, nothing wrong with that but they're dishonest about it. They started saying they're gay cuz the opposite sex is finds them unattractive, but it's in their head they just have unrealistic expectations and blame people they deem beautiful to be the one's at fault, so they self destruct. A lot of gay people are really nice and friendly to outcasts, so they wiggle in there for social acceptance. I know, lot of distance for a skip and a hop, all they had to do was reflect and not be a dick to people or hate people for how they look. They had no interest in Star Wars but they knew other people did and instead of getting in on the lore or movies, they took the lazy way and saved the work for slithering into their unworthy positions cuz really they hated those people cuz they got along, they bonded, more people that "outcast" them. Which is false, they don't even know them, they didn't even give them a chance, they just saw something they weren't automatically a part of and hated it. These are empty people and we should pity them.......but they f*cked with the wrong Republic so they must not be spared. Hope you got a laugh out of that cuz my thumbs are tired now lol.
