This was hype because of who it is, and I saw this as just a landslide victory due to exhaustion and being starstruck, but of course your analysis reveals so much more going on than I initially thought. Great stuff man. Also, IMO I don't really need a perfect 3-5 second rewind. A lot is going on at a very fast pace, I honestly like when it's 10 seconds, just helps me anticipate whats gonna happen more and see the context better.

gives us a perspective how insane World Class players are. No offense on JDCR (I love him) but he is having a rough game in 2018 (RIP DRAGUNOV) and he is not even considered the best of the best. Yet he still managed to beat the shit out of everyone despite inactive in tourneys during 2019-2023 (is it because going to EU/NA is really expensive and not worth it if you dont have sponsors)

Seeing JDCR play in TOP 8 vs him playing any other time is just so vastly different. Top 8 JDCR is just plain defensive and too careful. Like, I've seen him play safe with 80% hp vs like 20% at 30 seconds, only for him to lose the round. I'll rephrase and say it's not even being defensive, he just refuses to do anything until he loses. Seeing him play casual like this, it's such a breath of fresh air since you can see how good he can be. I say it's like akin to Japanese/Pakistani play style of aggression, which clearly works for him since he'll be in Top 8. Then again, once in there, he'll revert to overtly safe playstyle, sometimes using the MINIMUM punishment, ultimately costing him in the end.

That last part of you commenting on this high level approach of actually having the read but delaying the duck and only going for it when the opponent's attack animation starts in order to *never show your cards in the process to the very last moment* is very precious information because the highly-experienced professional players *actually do this.* Because the opponent doesn't even see any semblance of a duck, he really feels encouraged to go HS, believing he has you. Turns out he dies miserably because you had the read all along but made him believe you were gonna take the low. I often do this instinctively against Anna FC low launcher and just now realized this modus operandi being an actual technique. Damn... your commentary is really the cream of the crop.
