Tekken Tag 2 was a love letter to the fans who loved the characters from older games like Kunimitsu, Jun, and Michelle as well as new ones, that was supposed to be played as an all-stars game for fun with friends rather than a competitive game that you had to take everything personally. A lot of people hated it because they took it too seriously, seeing the same complaints all over social media like rage, combo damage, tag gimmicks, 1 vs 2, Capo b+1,4, etc. and still don't realize that it was made for having fun with a friend or a group of people. Pair play was made for that purpose.

And Namco / Harada said: *NEVER FUCKIN AGAIN* And every Tekken game since has lacked features, modes and love... we basically got Budget Tekken for the following decade+ after TTT2. So with hindsight, I honestly don't even get mad at Namco for doing what they did with T7 to present. The fans got what they deserved. They literally got a love letter that was TTT2 in terms of gameplay AND game features... and fans were like "nah, we good". But then have the nerve to complain when Namco doesn't show the love line they use too. "Don't ask me for shit" indeed.... lol

I never used to play the old tekken games and tag tournament 2 is still the only one I've played... but I have a genuine love for this game and all the memories that come with it, growing up and playing it against my family. I hadn't played any real fighting games before so most of it was button mashing, but it was fun. plus, it was funny when both me and my sister played alisa and hoped that we would accidentally activate chainsaw arms. used to love playing as leo and combot respectively as well.

I miss World Tekken Federation, but Tekken Tag 2 is still a masterpiece today regardless: It had an exciting arcade mode with cool cutscenes ( Let's not forget 🐯Heihachi pressing the trap door button that had you fall down to Ogre's dungeon), funny , cool , and sometimes terrifying endings, great customization, and all the characters a Tekken fan could want. I still enjoy the game to this day.

I was expecting a combo video or best highlights but this is a great tribute to the game 😯 I remember being so excited to finally get the game at GameStop just to play Jin with Jun, Lars, and Kazuya and then make a team with Jin & Lili and Jin & Nina and play with family every weekend. It was truly ahead of it's time, even if it asked for a lot of patience lol, especially if one was a scrub who didn't know what Bryan's snake edge was back then 😂. Online must've been worst than 7 😅 but if it's just for casuals, it's one of the best Tekken games hands down imo. Really cool to get some lore and background stories of the game's online scene. I didn't even know some of those things lol

Online was pretty cool back then, much improved netcode from Tekken 6 and the World Arena had a lot of chill people in there more than I would have expected. This game came out right before my birthday too and getting the free dlc with all of the extra characters was a nice touch. Put in a lot of hours back then on this game lol
