📄 Tekken Tag Tournament is a spin-off of Namco's Tekken fighting game series. It is the fourth installment in the Tekken fighting game series. Tekken Tag Tournament was released as an arcade game in 1999 before becoming a North American and European launch title for the PlayStation 2 in 2000 and PlayStation 3 in 2011.

PS2 version actually looks a lot cleaner then the video shows. An older crt with component or something like what I'm doing with a ossc and a hdtv that knows how to process 480i properly will make it look real close to PS3's 480p

Personally I like how the PS2 has a form of Gaussian blur going on that helps smooth out those rough polygons and gives it a more natural look.

The ps2 Version Looks More realistic than the ps3 Version. The Problem with the new Tekken Games is that namco goes More on Anime Art Style. I don't Like that.

Remasters on the ps3 were never good to begin with. Its the same thing with budokai, the models are just shiny as hell and the overall resolution ruins the shadows. Bamco shoulda just tried to keep their games at 1080p with the graphics its got on release. Ps2 re-releases do that on the ps4 today

Same here, it was the first game I bought when I got my PS2 on release day. Second was DOA2 Hardcore, glad I got that bcz I had no clue about the DOA series I just knew it was a fighting game and I was all about fighting games

PS1 was system 11. TTT is system 12 which is a slight upgrade.

@@voltz15 kinda, yeah. namco system 11 is modeled after ps1 hardware, which is why tekken 1 and 2 (which are system 11 games) have home versions that are very accurate to the original arcade release. namco system 12 is, as its name suggests, an upgrade over 11, featuring hardware superior to the ps1, and tekken 3 and tag run on that hardware.

The Arcade version is using the old Tekken engine. PS2 version uses a different engine and feels slower

The PS3 version is clearly the best version, due to the 16:9 support which is a common thing to see on 7th gen systems, unlike the arcade version and PS2 version, which both had no need to support widescreen, however: the PS3 version supports interlaced and progressive scan unlike the PS2 version which only has interlaced mode (unless you use a cheat device to force progressive scan on the PS2). the arcade version... I don't know, probably progressive scan due to the lower resolution, but I wouldn't know without observing the arcade version on an arcade machine.

For anyone considering ps3 graphics better than ps2 have to consider the fact that the size of TTT1 for ps2 is less than 500mb and it is 11y old but ps3 one is huge in size
