Hey I have a question. I have a task to connect my college websites using the honeypot to detect the hacker. It has 2 websites to be connected. But I don't know how to connect that using the honeypot because when I tried it, both the honeypot and the websites have different ip address so i have no idea to connect them. When I using honeypot, and tried to penetrate with kali linux, it has detected. But the problem is how can I connect the real websites to the honeypot. If the websites has been integrated with the honeypot, I only just see the hacker movement to the websites because the honeypot can write what the hacker do and it can provide some diagram too. I really thankfull if you reply my question! ty!

My Honeyd has some Problems maybe you can help me. I did everything explained in the video. first i had some errror because permission denied on log file while starting honeyd. I fixed it with chmod . Now it stucks at Updating ARP Binding """""" --> """""" There is no Error it just stucks at this point. nmap from my local machine says there is no host up at the IP set for config4 file. If i close the Terminal and start again there comes up the next IP after the selected before. So I think the ARP before had success.

Hey, how exactly did you fix it with chmod? I used sudo chmod 766 on the file, and im still getting permission denied. tried 777 as well

If someone still has problem like this set permissions to folder not to file(log), it will fix the issue.

I'm going into gedit and trying to create and save as honeyd4.conf but get error that I do not have permission to save file? why is that
